I know not everyone enjoys the scented trees and other airfresheners. But, I do like my car to have a signature scent. What would be the best discreet place to place an air freshener? Do we know where the air circulation intake is? Anyone tested or found good spots? Thanks in advance!

I'm still enjoying the factory-installed scent in my Bronco, so no need. :) But would like to see what everyone says for that day when the new car fragrance wears off.

Super curious what people's answers to this will be. Personally an old-fashioned rear-view mirror sorta person, but that's not exactly discreet.

But open to something more creative as long as it has nothing to do with the Black Ice scent.

If it has to be an item that stays in the vehicle, maybe just in the center console so when you open it, you get a fresh blast of scent.

I just spray a squirt or two of Febreze once a month, but not enough to drown my vehicle in a scent.

Car washes use a product named "Odor Ban" that you can purchase on Amazon or your local distributor. If you put it in a small spray bottle it works awesome to just spray on your interior and let it dry. As it's not visible...it is very discreet. :)

Yeah I plan to huff as much of that new car scent as I can. But once that wears off, I plan to go with these guys:

My wife and I have a subscription to drift. There’s new monthly scents or pick the same monthly. The holder looks stealth and modern, we really enjoy it. You can get the stone system also, but I don’t recommend the wood version as it doesn’t last very long.

Ha I was writing a similar comment when you posted this. We love drift and highly recommend it! The monthly scents are awesome and fit each season. I think there’s been only 1 didn’t like over the last 3 years we’ve been subscribed.

Lol, I work in an industry that does product analysis testing for vehicle products…does everyone know the “new car” smell is not good for you? Those are VOCs and we continually try to figure out how to minimize those.

Heh. I thought I once read that yes that's the case and car manufacturers actually reduced the VOCs. But in doing so they removed the new car smell. And customers started complaining. So now it's added artificially.

But I could be making shit up.
