I, too, need an answer. Being a short person means you step on things others don't step on - but I'm being super careful with the painted sections.

Just going to throw some skateboard grip tape on mine, has worked well on sliders in the past.

That's a good idea. I wish I had thought of that. I bought a carbon fiber vinyl tape for 16 dollars off amazon and that way I had the flexibility to make them whatever length I needed, plus some extra for future needs. I rounded the corners with an exacto knife and coin. Looks a lot like the sticker fab.

For me, in the winter, it has to have actual traction rather than just being created to look like it does

So I've vetoed some of the accessory ones already

Never tried vinyl. Does it come off easily if you change your mind in a few months or years? Does it need to be changed out before too long because the adhesive hardens? I’d die if I messed up my paint.

I ordered the universal xpel ultimate door sill kit from Amazon for something like $30 CAD. Includes 60" of 2.5" film, so that will give me 15" for each door which should be plenty I'd think.

I used deck tape (goes on skate boards)
that's a pretty good idea too, especially if you have smaller kids/people climbing in and out every day.

Looked tonight and I have a very small scratch on my sill down to metal.

Anyone know what metal that is? Should I worry about rust forming under my 3m after I clean and seal

How about these clear ones made out of PPF. It will not make your sill tacky and it will protect it.

FWIW, I ended up using 12" for the rear door sills and 18" for the front door sills.
