I see that there are a few threads on this forum about the prudence of installing an oil catch can, so I'm now interested in selecting one for the 2.7L. Can you recommend a specific one that is based on facts and not just manufacturer claims, in quality and practicality?

The 2.7 has dual injection. It doesn’t need a catch can.
there are many videos on youtube on the 2.7L catch can installed on the F150 and why its needed .... but in this thread i'm not looking for the WHY, but just which one to chose

I installed the UPR can on my 2019 F150. Despite the fact that it has DPI, I still collect a substantial amount of oily gunk in the can which I’m glad is not being put back in the combustion chamber. I’ve been happy with its performance and it’s easy to install and to drain with the optional drain line and valve.

Watching this one. Can't tell you how much sludge I've filtered out with the catch can on my My 3.5 Eco F150....

A catch can is what, $200 based on the ones I've looked at for BMWs. Can't hurt, could help... we've all wasted much more than that on useless car stuff.

F150 guys... have you had to modify anything to fit your CC? On the BMW you have to cut away part of the engine cover which seems a little crazy.

Watch the UPR video for a complete installation guide. The can has a bolt-on bracket, and the hoses were all using the same clips as factory. I had to drill one hole in the air intake to install a grommet and hose, that was the only mod needed.

TY but WOW, that's pricey
You can find much cheaper, but I went for high-quality. It could be the high end for price.
