I wanted another sports car convertible... but I didn’t want to have 3 cars again. 4 door hauls kids and I can take the top off. Win win.

I've been looking forward to the Bronco's revival ever since I saw the 2005 Bronco concept at the Midwest International Auto Show. I may have put my hand on it when no one was looking ?

A list:

1. Its a revival of a classic nameplate that actually has some effort put into it to live up to the name *cough cough Blazer*

2. Its the best effort so far as a real competitor to the Wrangler.

3. Its one of a very few new vehicles that you can get a real manual transmission on. As a manual enthusiast, I want to show that the manual is still relevant and sought after in 2020.

4. You can take the top and doors off. It may not sound like big deal but it totally transforms the experience.

5. Its not a Wrangler. This is coming from a former JK owner. I loved my Jeep but I want to try something else.

6. I cannot buy a new Suzuki Jimny here.

A manual transmission, convertible, 4wd vehicle that you can take the top and doors off that is not named Wrangler? In 2020? YES PLEASE

Only downside I can think is I will lose the ride comfort I have in the Raptor.
For me I am debating getting a Bronco or holding out for the 22 Raptor. I really hope we get that Raptor ride in the Bronco. Ford markets the Bronco taking suspension cues from the Raptor. This is a concern.

What's the concern on taking cues from the Raptor suspension? The on and off road manners of the Raptor are amazing.

I'm 6'5'' so I was able to tip toe reach up and touch the Atlantis Space shuttle at Kennedy Space Center which had 33 missions into space. I win ?

One of my pet peeves is calling a truck a car...not that you did, but a lot of folks here keeping doing so, and you brought up pet peeves. If you want a car, buy the Sport.
It's not a truck. If anything it's an SUV...a REAL SUV.

I use car because I'm usually on a tablet and car is less letters than truck and SUV requires caps or the stupid tablet corrects.

You missed the point. The Raptor is awesome. I hope we get the same ride.

Removable doors and roof, IFS, manual transmission.

In short, my wife has the practical family car, this will be what we drive for fun on the weekends. That I'll get to drive it to work is a nice plus ?

Because it’s an off-road capable vehicle not made bye FCA...sorry Stellantis.

And nailed one of my pet peeves.....”irregardless”, ew.
Yep your totally right. It's a word but nonstandard. Edited...I was always a "B" student. ?

The Bronco may not be "perfect" (and I wish Ford would allow 100% configurability regardless of trims etc...) but

So... Why are you buying a Bronco!?

And nailed one of my pet peeves.....”irregardless”, ew.
He could of worded that better.
(It hurt just to type that, lol)

Not sure why you think there will be a price to pay while on-road?
That is probably the primary reason for the IFS. The SFA Jeep supposedly drives like shit though.
I mean, there is compromise with all vehicles. Haul like a F350 will not handle like a Corvette.....

It won't be the same ride. The comparison I have heard is it rides like a Ranger 4x4 screw. The Ranger is a nice ride but not even close to a Raptor

I anticipated that; nonetheless, my hopes were up.

My dad and three of my uncles bought Early Broncos brand new. I havent had a chance to buy a new Bronco since I was 15yo (1996). I currently own an EB also so you could kinda say its a family thing.
