Mpg hit ?
A bit, but most anything you add will impact MPG. But honestly, if you're hunting MPG you've bought the wrong vehicle. LOL

The rock throwing will get better after the tires wear a few thousand miles. As others have reported, mine got way better after around 5,000 miles. They still throw rocks but not nearly as bad as when they’re new. Unless you’re doing hardcore trails I’d stick with them, wear them out and get some cheap mud flaps now to protect your paint if that’s a concern.

I ultimately replaced them after 32,000 miles because of excessive caused by an alignment issue created by adding aftermarket skids, a bumper and a winch. I chose Toyo Rugged Terrain Trail tires and after many miles off road in a variety of conditions I’m more than happy with the choice.

It depends. Out west, range anxiety for gas-powered vehicles can be a real thing in some remote areas, like say central Nevada or southeast Oregon far from the paved roads. If you're down to 15 mpg on the highway then you might be getting 10 mpg off-road. If you want to explore a number of side canyons in an area where the nearest gas is 80 miles away, then you could run into an issue after a while and need to make a long round trip just to refuel. There's a reason some people strap gas cans to the outside of their Broncos.

Eastern Sierra, SW Idaho is same on remoteness… easy to get 80 plus miles away from fuel/civilization.

Been there once long ago on the highway long, and hope to get back there and off the pavement!

Anybody running the Wildpeak AT/4s on a Badlands Sas?

I am tired of the OEM tires :(
I run on gravel roads, and I was just touching up the paint on the back passenger door (4 door).
I have the Rokblokz and they stop most, but not nearly all of the stones.

I am curious about ride/noise of the Wildpeaks. I also saw complaints about wet traction. I had Wildpeaks on a Gladiator and I liked the tires (33s, not 35s, however)

Trail grapplers are a possibility, also; but I found the Terra grapplers to be really noisy on a different vehicle.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks very much,
Ron

Installing 35"x12.5"x17" (D2) MT Baja Boss AT today. Newish tire, however hopeful based on current reviews. I'm replacing KO2s after only 18K miles (too much time wasted balancing and a few with 65lb+ road force). Will follow up!

My truck came with the same tires as SAS. I replaced them at 20K miles with Falken Wildpeak A/T4W in a slightly larger size. Huge upgrade on road in all conditions. I haven't taken it offroad yet since I mostly take the Bronco offroad. Will probably replace the SAS tires with Falkens, but only have 8K miles on the Bronco.
