  • Bestop will use the SEMA Show to introduce a power retractable soft top for the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco.
  • The eTop can be raised or lowered in a matter of seconds at the touch of a button.
  • The roof features triple-layer construction as well as tinted vinyl windows.
"The eTop is the result of Bestop’s acquisition of myTop and the roof will come with a 24 month warranty. There’s no word on pricing, but myTop has the Bronco’s roof listed at $4,995. The company also charges the same price for the Wrangler’s roof and one is apparently in the works for the Gladiator."

Well I'll be there, I'll try and see it. Now if only it had like a Mary Poppins bag in the trunk that could also fit my trailrax, RTT, and the other shit i have strapped to my vehicle.

All that work to make it powered, but when it came to folding it, they said screw it. What a mess. 🤦‍♂️

I know we can't have it both ways, but that's a lot of fabric back there since the windows are still in. It would be nice if they made one where we had the option to take the windows out. At the risk of being obnoxious, it seems that every time someone brings something like this to market anymore, they don't bother asking consumers what they want and just do whatever. I dunno, maybe that's an assumption and there is some other reason. I guess in this case it's because it already costs an arm and a leg and developing/implementing removable windows would raise that even more.

Absolutely agree. I can’t believe those side windows are going to last that long, especially when dirt and debris gets caught in there from a day on dirt roads and sand papers the windows. I bet they will be spendy to replace…on top of an already really expensive top.

What is missing is the obvious first choice: the 2-door version. The 2-door only came with the hard top. 4-doors came with the soft top by default, so unless someone ordered only the hardtop, the potential customer would have to be willing to ditch their OEM soft top just to pay for the power upgrade, which is a bigger pill to swallow. This is a case where I think the 2-door market is potentially equal to the 4-door market.

I don't think there's much overlap in the Venn diagram of customers who want a one-touch power open/close soft top and customers who are willing to get out and remove the side windows. The latter defeats the purpose of the former.

That's a lot of fabric to deal with. What would you have done differently?
