Bestop Fender Flares For Bronco - First Look Video

Haven’t seen this mentioned yet. Bestop posted a teaser of their new fender flares. Looks like they square out the standard round fenders/quarter and are meant to mimic the ‘66 accessory. From close they still have the round edge underneath - but, have the potential of a nice appearance. Looking forward to more photos and angles.

She has a Badlands with the stock OEM wheels (+55 offset). Note the poke with the stock wheel. These look to offer some style over the typical flare deletes. If someone kept the underside black where the clumsy round/square transition is made and painted the upper side body color, it may not look that bad. These certainly look better than the other aftermarket flare that attempted the square flare over a round hole recently.

I’m far from convinced myself - but, nice to see other options. I’m really just interested in something strong, durable, easy to clean and around $100 a corner.

The stock flares leave a lot to be desired. I just don’t think anyone has come up with a solid solution yet.

Nothing against you or the post. It’s the styling, the shape, the hard corners, and the rounded underneath. Matches none of the lines. But will give some other makers ideas. Someone will get retro lips made that match eventually. If cheap enough they would make good temp trail runners like you said.

Am I a fool for wondering why the flare sits so high?

I would think the flat top could sit lower, covering the visual curve of the wheel well, and would still allow for tire clearance. Then you wouldn’t have that awkward curved interior and squared exterior portion? And the interference with the fuel door?

I for one am digging this. Good to know those that don’t want to splurge on Heritage trims can eventually get the squared off look

I was thinking the same. Why even show the rounded well underneath?

The just responded to my comment that they can be removed just not as easily like the OEM flares. Looks like these will serve as a stylized flare delete providing slightly more coverage than just a flare delete. But also not providing flare coverage that the stock OEM flares provide. Those with Sasquatch will have much more of the tire exposed.
