Here's a snapshot of recent customer complaints:

• Hello, I ordered a Hard Top to fit a 2021 Four-door Bronco from Advanced Fiberglass on April 11, 2023 - with a promised delivery of mid-June. I took out a loan through Affirm, which allows you to pay in full for the hard top. The loan amount was $6,515.44. It is now February 26, and I have not received my product.
  
  
• On 10/13/2022 I placed an order to Advanced Fiberglass Concepts for a Bronco Hardtop with an estimated delivery date of 4-6 months. The order required advance payment of 100% of the costs plus shipment for a total of $7400.63. Every month since April 2022 Advanced Fiberglass Concepts has moved the delivery date 1-2 months later. At this point they have had an interest free loan.

Sounds similar to me - Since I was a Canadian customer, my payment had an exchange rate. When I was issued a refund, I lost out on several hundred dollars as the exchange rate had changed since when I purchased the hard top.

I realize they don’t control the exchange rate, but still - wouldn’t have been in that position if they delivered on their product on time (or at all).

I'm shocked anyone with a Bronco gives them money for anything considering their hard top thread on this forum.

Honestly the BBB is useless nowadays. It’s not an official organization that can do anything and is no better than yelp or Google reviews.

adv is still a thing? I remember people paying in full up front for vaporware like 2-3 years ago….always 90 days out. Anyone that fell for a paid in full deposit for a product that did not exist was gullible. Anyone that still believes they are getting a hard top is a moron.

Asking for payment months / years in advance is always shady, esp if we talking $5K+. I looked at all the Hardtop options, and reached out to each of them, only Turn Offroad quickly responded with you are on the wait list with a ship date of X (Wait list - not a pre-pay list). Got an email saying it was available, and to pay / place my order (4 weeks sooner than promised). Top was on my bronco in less than 14 days.

Quite happy with the top quality wise and do not see ever going back to my soft top - now to go thru the hassle of selling the soft top.

Even if you really like the ADV hardtop as presented/advertised, I sincerely hope people here will continue to drop their orders and get refunds. (1) because it’s the right thing to do with a company that behaves this way, and (2) because I hope people get their money back before a potential bankruptcy
