Reviving an old thread here... but wondering if you've had a chance to get out on a trail and/or have the suspension fully flexed wih sway bar disconnected. I'm thinking about 285/75r17 as well and would prefer to avoid a level or lift if possible. I know they'll fit on road, but wondering about fender rubbing when off-road.

This is my BL, non-sas, with the optional beadlocks on BFG KM3 285/75/17 Mud Terrains. My goal was a little chunkier look with a more aggressive tread pattern. No rubbing even at full turn. Didn’t touch crash bars. I needed to shave a little off the spare tire rubber stops to accommodate the added thickness. 3rd brake light in original position. I lost a little ride quality and added a little road noise. Exactly the look I wanted.

Bought tires back on Memorial Day when on sale. Paid about $1800 less $70 rebate (Simpletire.com) for 5 tires and $150 for mount/balance (local Firestone).

Is there any kind of lift on this? Looking at getting these wheels and tires for mine.

I had KM2s on my jeep. They were good tires but as they aged they got dramatically louder. It was nearly unbearable after about 30k miles.
