I have an incoming non-SAS Big Bend 2Dr in a few weeks but am thinking I should skip it and find a SAS WildTrak or OuterBanks instead (I attended the Off-Roadeo in Austin and got the bug too).

Can a non-SAS Big Ben’s handle most trails in central Florida? Can I live without front and rear lockers here?

Well, if you are stuck with a build that has an open rear diff, then you can get the ARB air locker. The rear locker is one of the minimum specs that should be optioned (where available) for any Bronco that intends to be driven off-road.

Don't fall in the trap that Sasquatch is required to take your Bronco off-road. While it is a tremendous value to have it come from the factory, it isn't necessary.

I just got back from a day trip out to Ocala, I did the full Tread Lightly! trail with my non-SAS Big Bend and had 0 issues while out on the trail. I will say that it was fairly dry today and so I didn't experience much mud or wet sand so it could be different in different weather conditions.
