That sure was a lot of words to say initial Job 1 date remains the same.

So is this good news? or just expected news? And if Job 1 still stays at current date, then I'd assume it's OK news.

Sorry for being verbose! :)

Five weeks of mass production ahead of Job 1 is really good news. Unless some fairly substantial assembly issues pop up, I expect this to shift the timeline forward a bit.

Curious how Job 1 can happen AFTER VIN 1 Bronco will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson.

By modern standards, Job 1 is a fairly unsubstantial number. It's just a target date for production to be up to full speed and without issues. The most impactful dates for a new vehicle launch are final Federal certification (2/19/21) and Ford issuing a OKTB order).

So the "reasonable" thought is that Ford KNEW that they were cleared for an actual job 1, aka VIN 001, before the Barrett Jackson auction and therefore allowed the machine to be committed to it?

Before everyone yells...I tried to search and couldn't find the thread. Do you or anyone have an idea of the production rate for the Bronco?

I think we need to calm down a touch here, I hate to be that guy but no one is getting their broncos early. Ford has stated 1st production is going to press, outdoor and influencers 1st. Ford is also building up the show room displays as well..

And they do not build just one model.. It will be a mix of all models going down the line with Rangers

Exactly. The plan is always to have substantial production before the "Job 1" date circled on the calendar.

I think its shifting a bit as Ford pumped a boat load of Rangers through to try to free up more batches.
