Got these installed this week—purchased from Shock Surplus. I didn’t want to do anything crazy, I’m on assignment in Chicago so I haven’t been living off-road sadly. My goal was a slight lift and reducing some of the nose dive and other less than ideal ride dynamics.

Short review; if you’re looking for something you’d describe as OEM+, this is the move. The ride is better than the stock sas suspension. Firmer, not harsh but it soaks up bumps, high speed turns have no body sway, and braking has no nose dive. Solid, solid package.

Circlip position pictured is #4 f/r which is a slight lift over stock; +1” f/+.7”r.

There’s a little rake still until the rack and other summer camping stuff goes in the back.

If I hadn't seen the pictures and you told me I have bronze wheels on a silver Bronco I would have called you crazy. In my mind that combination does not work. But looking at it, I like it.

Yeah I think because it's such a dark bronze, it basically looks like mud. :) If it was bright I think it would look trash for sure.

Really glad you did this and posted about it. I've been worried the 6100's didn't go below 2" on the 2dr (preferably would like 1.5" with similar rake to stock), so it's great to see what you achieved. And your Bronco looks great!

If you don't mind me asking, if you got it installed at a shop, about what did they charge? From what I've seen, the shocks themselves aren't that expensive (<$1k for all four). But it would be more complicated due to the spring transfer and everything still has to come off.

I'm seeing 325 a piece, where do you see less than 1k? If there's a package deal for the2 doors that would be great

Oh ok. At some point I saw them for $220 a corner. I don't have a link or anything, but $1300 for an adjustable shock is still not that bad. Shock Surplus has them for $319/corner in the four pack, so there's that. A 10/15% sale would put that close... I guess if I would've known it was a deal, I would have bought them.

I'm going to have to do more research, maybe email bilstein for exact shocks for a 2 Dr SAS

I think it's https://cart.bilsteinus.com/shock-24-325578.html
