Wall or headrest…if you lay it down - just slide the windows in. Why would you need it to open all of the way?

Because it makes it easier and less likely to scratch the windows. It's how most of the Jeep bags are, including one of BJD's.

Just seems cumbersome. That’s a massive amount of space you’d need to lay it down. The soft felt fabric inside is nice and thick and secured on the sides, which I like. No sag.

You fold them back with their natural tendency. They actually don't touch the platic window area so there is no danger of them scratching.
