BKinn's Black Diamond RTR Mods/Build

Hey All,

Starting this thread to track progress on my "build," though I'm hesitant to call it a build compared to many of the others here.

My wife and I currently reside in MO but take trips out to CO 2-3 times a year to see her family, camp, and off-road (not to mention what we do here locally). We have plans to move there so most of the mods I've been doing are in line with camping & off-roading more often when we do relocate.

I bought my 2022 black diamond used on 12/02/2023 with about 24k miles - It is RTR #27, auto, soft top, sas, and the 2.7L.

Here's how it looks as of today:

Below is a list of what I've done so far, along with what is on order, and what is planned.

Completed:

• Redline Hood Struts
• Ford Performance Rear Diff Cover (also changed fluids on the rear diff, front diff, and transfer case)
• Tailgate Molle Panel/Table
• Ford Deluxe Tailgate Enclosure
• Sunshade top (from previous owner)
• LOD Transmission Skid Plate
• Diode Dynamic Fog Lights (SS3 sport and 2 SS2 sports, JCR bracket)
• KC HiLites Flex Era 3 Ditch lights (from previous owner)
• KC HiLites Apollo Pro 6" Halogen (to melt snow when in CO)

I would if I could! Unfortunately (or fortunately for me), it's an actual numbered RTR bronco, so I didn't purchase any of the parts, RTR did the build. So I don't have any of the stock parts, no idea what RTR did with them.

Gotcha! I didn't realize that RTR did full upfit builds.

Love the brush guard! Exactly what I'm looking for and will add to my list!

Thanks! I'm quite happy with it! I hit a deer in my last truck so I wanted a bit more protection from them and branches.

The install wasn't the easiest, the mounting holes didn't line up exactly, but I found that leaving the entire assembly loose (specifically the horizontal braces) rather than torqued tight before installing made it so much easier. Install then torque, counter to the instructions.

It also allows you to mount lights on either the top or bottom, which is ideal for me since I want to add a winch later and don't want to block them.

Yep! Though I'm not sure how many they do each year, certainly less than 50. I keep meaning to follow up with them and figure out how many they've made each year.
