Personally I love the black steelies. That is one of the features that first pulled me to this trim.

I say no on aftermarket because I have gone down this road before and it’s not cheap. Aside from the costs of the wheels and the more expensive AT or MT tire, you have to consider:

suspension (do you need a lift)
what type of suspension lift
adjusting your speedometer
potentially re-gearing
how the tires fit in your wheel well (do they rub)

maybe some other things but that is the bulk of it.

It really is best (IMO) to go with the options offered from factory. I say that for this vehicle because there are a lot of great options (Sasquatch for example).

But on the other side of the coin people do this all the time and there is a big market for it. For me it was challenging to accomplish because I had to gather the funds, do research, find people to do the work that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg. In the end I told myself that next time I am just going to finance it all up front to get done at the time of purchase. I had my vehicle for 3 years before I got everything done that I wanted. You know, life happens and it’s not always easy to justify spending big money on your vehicle.
you forgot to mention the disc brakes and pads ...... actually i'm a little concerned that the sasquatch pkg has the same breaks as other wheel/tire trims

I like those Level 8’s. Also look up American Racing Bajas. Those look nice too.

Keep an eye on the Stage 3 Motorsports page. They had some great deals(buy 3 get 1 free) around Black Friday for Ranger wheels, I'm sure they will be getting a Bronco to mod out. Personally I think the gloss black wheels are well to glossy and cheap looking. You'll be able to something close in price aftermarket.

I wish the base model came with the BD wheels. I really like the black steelies.

Anyone going BD and thinking of upgrading the wheels aftermarket? The aluminum wheels for $995 don’t seem that special to me, and I don’t want to keep the steelies. I was looking for wheels online but I’m not sure how to find what would be compatible yet. I want something not so flashy (not the OB wheels!), something closer to BL wheels.
New wheels and tires will be my first upgrade: Fuel Crush Wheels and Cooper Tires AT3-XLT white letter.

I’ll more than likely have some Sas wheels available, will be going aftermarket with 37” tires. Or should I make it a proper mall crawler?

I am considering going base 4 door with black am race Baja. Try to fit 285 (3.73 gears might be doggy) worst case 255 75 r17.

however the pricing then becomes close to big bend.

I'm 2-door BD & Iconic Silver. Get plenty of snow @4,000' elevation in the Smokies, but usually just a 3-4 day stretch at a time.

Hope to avoid black, and wheels with all the nooks & crannies that are tough to clean. Simplicity.

I like the stock BD wheels, but not the gloss black paint, I run the desert rocks and dry river beds a lot and always scratch up the wheel paint. So I will have them stripped and powder coated (baked) black. Durable and easy to clean.

If anyone wants to sell me your 17 inch steel wheels, I am in.
I am getting the 16 inch steelies in silver 30s with the base and I would love to get a SECOND set of 17 inch steelies in black with 32s.

Now if you can't make me a decent offer, I will just go aftermarket instead.

If you love the original bronco, how can you not like the steel wheels?
