Hmmm. My wife is 5'5-1/2 and our Squatched BL will be her DD. Hopefully the extra 1.5" will be enough otherwise we might have to get her a step stool ;)

Wanted to see and love the MGV seats and I did! Seat firmness is good, texture not weird and will be great. Subaru outback XT model has a similar vinyl but I think this one is better. Looking forward to the BL seats that are darker and orange stitching.

I've been very concerned about the pictures I've seen of the quality of the seats of pre-production models. As I'm getting the MGV in my Badlands these pictures reassure me that I'm not making a mistake. I cannot wait for August!!!!!!
Although I still think my first choice is the darker BL, even with the orange stitching (what ever happened to the all black option that was apparently going to be available). But these lighter ones would look great with Carbonized Gray.

....or what someone posted: https://rockslideengineering.com/ ....will be Bronco build ....or I'm sure some Ford OEM or aftermarket step that can hook onto slider on BL and secure on frame etc.

To my knowledge only going to be available on Badlands...

Doesn't look like there's much room for a dual battery system under the hood. Hope someone will be able to figure out something that'll fit in the engine bay.
Hey, The dual battery thing is kind of obsolete now (maybe except for a few very specific builds). With the portable “solar generators” you really don’t need a dual battery. They can be charged by a running vehicle, solar, or AC. They have gobs of power, are lighter, cheaper, and way easier to set up than a dual battery. I have a Jackery and love it (many other brands). Even the smaller jackery 240 runs my fridge all night. Thought I’d throw it out there. I’m all about easy... I won’t go back to dual battery, but understand each build has unique needs.

I've been to three events hoping toes this one and keep seeing the Rapid Red Outer Banks. I wish it was easier to know which will be where!

I'm confused by the rear seats. I thought the bottoms lifted up, then fold down the backs? This looks more conventional.
Only the 2 door requires the bottom to be lifted up to fold the back down. 4 door is as shown in OP.

Rear seats seem to fold and lay flatter than in other images I have seen.

I wonder why the 2-door has a different (and what looks to be a less nice) rear-seat design -both in terms of 50/50 vs 60/40 and the way it folds. Maybe the width back there in the 2-door is less or something?

Thanks I'll check it out. I hadn't considered solar before. How well do these charge in the winter or under the forest canopy?

They call it a solar generator, but in reality it’s a lithium battery, charger, and inverter all in one. So you can still charge it via your vehicle the next day (like you would a dual battery). You also have the option of adding a solar panel to charge it as well. I don’t have mine hooked up to solar yet. I just charge it with my 4runner. I just have the 240, which is all I need. If you are a bit power hungry then I’d opt for the 500 or bigger.

The 2 door seat are between the wheel wells, the 4 door rear seat is in front of the wheel wells. 2 door only fits 2 people in the back seat (and a cup holder for each which is super important around here) while the 4 door fits 3 people (with no cup holders).

Hi Friends,

I attended the Bob Maxey Ford event yesterday that featured a nice black outer banks model. A big big shout out to Sean and his wife of "OurBroncoLife" who was present filming some video and chatting with customers. He gave me a tip that Randy Wise Ford of Ortonville, MI was going to have a nice BD today....

So, had a nice 50min drive to visit the BD. I've ordered a BL and the BD has all the goodies I wanted to see....and it didn't disappoint! OMG so so excited and nobody there @16:00 time slot except me and 4 of the nice marketing folks....so, it was all mine and I didn't want to leave it!

I will not provide a super detailed bit and byte level review but simply share the nice pics along with a few of some nice Bronco Sports with "my" CG color I will be getting....super happy I changed to CG.

A few random observations:

1. OMfG - Sasquatch is so huge and sweet compared to Outer Banks. I got standard BL with the 33's but the Squatch is a beast. That's "me" in some of the pics with orange vest and for reference, I'm 6' even.

2. Color is the anti-matter Blue Metallic and looks super sharp

3. Wanted to see and love the MGV seats and I did! Seat firmness is good, texture not weird and will be great. Subaru outback XT model has a similar vinyl but I think this one is better. Looking forward to the BL seats that are darker and orange stitching.

4. Engine is the 2.7 - took some pics of the aux switch wiring in the engine bay; can't wait to hook-up some nice aircraft landing lights ;-)

5. Wash-out floors are bada$$ and will be great. I saw some 6G forum comments wondering if these will have more road noise than the shag carpet mats....I guess time will tell but I can tell you that I was a little surprised that the front and rear floors have some "give", "dampening"...probably a layer of some type of insulation so perhaps that will squelch the road noise a bit.

6. Molle seat backs will be rock'in. It's a rigid matrix so you can snap on carabiner easily and easy to fish through molle accessories

7. Rear (driver side) roll-bar/pillar bottle opener; sorry pic didn't come out....handy to pop a bud etc

8. Rear seat fold down - seems "flat enough" for me ;-)

9. Rear power 5VDC USB and 110VAC - handy

10. Apologies didn't do a bunch of front pics since I gathered those up on the Outer Banks the other day; this was Mid package

11. Rock Rails are ample; Seems lots of debate i.e. ragging about quality since not directly attached to frame rails....however, they seem hyper rigid how they're attached and Ford seems to rate them for gnarly stuff...so good enough for me;

12. From tire/wheel pics, you can see no safety crash tubular steel is present; a bunch of threads on this already

That's about it....can't wait for the real thing to arrive at my dealer ;-)

I'm looking at the 240 just to literally have something around when even on a road trip to power/recharge things. Looks like the 500 just has more capacity, and a few extra outputs? At $200 the 240 is a great price.
