Anyone know the size and style of lug nuts to buy for the bronco? I want to go with black lugs but there are so many different style on Amazon. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there a need to do locknuts? Thanks!

Are the stock lug nuts the two piece style, or did Ford quit that nonsense?

Yes they're the shitty eventually swell up and become unusable 2 piece type.

The ol shitty two piece type have been serving me well for a shade over two decades on my F-150.

Go ahead and enlighten us why they are so shitty.
I’m not the one who said they were shitty, but I don’t really disagree. The ones ford used had an aluminum cap. In some weather conditions, they would swell, then cause corrosion underneath the cap making it worse. they would get completely mis-shaped, and no size socket would get them off. You’d have to knock the cap off with a hammer and cold chisel to get to the inner part and then loosen it. I’ve had other two piece lugs where the cap just fell off. Not a big deal, they came off just fine with a smaller socket, but if I had to change a tire on the side of the road, the lug wrench in the trunk would have been too big, and possibly stripped the inner part of the lug. Even when they fail, it’s never a big issue, but they do fail pretty frequently.

I actually got stranded on the side of the highway due to Ford's God awful 2 piece lugnuts on my 2014 fusion after a nail did in one of the tires. I didn't have a hammer in the car and no amount of effort would get my socket to fit on those bloated pieces of shit.

Afterwards, I immediately bought a full replacement set of normal ones and have never looked back. I honestly can't believe that anyone would defend them.

Aren’t there aftermarket one piece lugs that can be used as a replacement?
