this is the top I was waiting for. I held out my reservation to order as long as possible, and this was the number one thing. Now I wonder do I trade in my 23 and lose the sweet price protection I was allocated, or bite the bullet and get what I really wanted in the first place.
Will take my time and hopefully the feedback is generally positive on these tops

Same here. They broke me down with so many giveaways and incentives to switch that I ended up with a 2021 Badlands soft top. I still love it... but man this glossy black roof looks as good as I originally hoped.

Has me debating trading mine in for a 2024... I really dig the green paint option now too.

I don’t see anything in showroom for them. That’s the site I use for my customers accessories. My parts department closes at 1:00 on Saturdays so I can’t get with them. Last time I checked though they were not available for order through accessories at this time.

I have a similar issue. I actually just ordered a ‘24 with the gloss top I was supposed to get in ‘21. Now if I trade in my ‘23 I’m going to lose a ton of money. Not sure what to do here.

nope, I ordered a new Bronco with painted top on Oct 23rd and got a first week in Dec build date.

It is not necessarily orange peel as it is a not smooth surface to start with...although back in the 80s every black Mercedes had to be repainted once they arrived at the dealer.

Remember the MIC top is not smooth gloss like a shower surround either.

Refers to the texture of the paint. If you search on-line, I'm sure a ton of images will pop up, but it gets its name from the look. Similar to the outer peel of an orange with the dimpling on the skin.

I was given this part number from parts. They said it was given to them from ford. But they do not have any diagram showing the steps or the parts included. I could not get myself to order them without being 100% sure it is them. I hope someone on here can verify this is the right part number.

I picked up an outer banks with the new hard top yesterday. I can’t tell whether the quarter windows are removable. They do have the little black tabs on the outside (and I’ve read posts saying leave them in, and just as many that say pull them out, so I’m not sure if they are functional or were supposed to be removed by the dealer.)
At highway speeds, the passenger front side had major wind noise, and none on the driver side, not sure if something is pinched or a bad seal maybe? The weather stripping on the front panels closest to the backseat doors both have what looks like a piece missing, but maybe that is normal. Either way it would not account for just the one side being noisy.

The windows are not removable.
The black tabs on the outside are not supposed to stay in, they’re meant to be removed and discarded during the PDI.
