It doesn't bother me much that it's white inside. Bronco interior is pretty dark anyway and I'm more interested in a better quality top that has better noise reduction. The gloss black paint is icing on the cake as I think it looks better than the grey MIC tops.

A couple updates as I just got access to it again from PDI.

The sound deadening is not magnetic. It has two Velcro strips and two push pins.

Also I see no way to remove the side windows. I may be missing something but I have searched around the entire edge and do not see the same system that’s on the White MOD top to remove them.

Bummer about those rear windows not being removable. I was under the impression they were when I purchased. Due to be in for delivery in a couple weeks.

Does anyone know if the pin and housing from a Heritage MOD top window would be compatible here? If so then it could be worth keeping an eye on salvage yards for the parts - or defective tops that wind up back at dealers for warranty replacement?

The more I type the more this feels like a pipe dream.

I would like to know who makes that top, looks much like a Jeep top from inside.

I can only hope that the black painted hardtop is an OPTION for the Big Bend - earlier post showed it is not an OPTION - but below shows that it is an OPTION and it does not show that it is limited to the 4-door:

Why do they have to state the obvious "manual swing gate" as if there is or could some day be a "power swing gate" ? ??

Look two lines below it at the line with the " Manual Swing-gate with additional Exoskeleton Reinforcement -with up to 150-degree swing " line - that line is presumably for the Raptor version, so they had to create a differentiation for it for "regular" models and Raptor models.....and it's a manual swing gate, not sure what else you'd call it.

Unfortunate. The painted top was supposed to come with the First Editions, Ford ended up giving us rewards points for not delivering on that and other options.

Will follow this thread; curious if the painted mod top is actually noticeably better on noise while driving or if this is just a placebo effect some are having.

"Non-folding tailgate"

If Ford were forward thinking (or reverse for that matter) the 5th wheel would be somewhere else and tailgate could do both swing and fold like station wagons of 50 years ago

It could be both really. It may be somewhat better than MIC, but could also be a perceived "so much better" because it appears it's a higher quality product inside and out (finished interior rather than exposed)

Eh, I'd rather have the swing gate with the wheel on it vs having to swing out a tire fully every time and then opening the gate.

MIC - Molded In Color (standard hard top)

MOD - Modular - Removable side windows, Gunners hatch in 2 door only (painted white on Heritage Models)

Raptor Style running boards available to order on Job 2 2024 builds I have not seen them as an accessory yet to be purchased through parts but could be wrong on that.

Correct they’ve been available on builds since the start of Job 2 for 24’s but I don’t see them available yet to order from your local parts at your dealership
