Looking for a turbo noise? How about that sweet sound of a Blow Off Valve during shifts or letting off throttle? Well look no further we have them available for both the 2.3 as well as the 2.7 Ecoboost engines.

EcoBoost BOVA V2 copy WEB.jpg

This BOV adapter mounts between the OEM bypass valve/solenoid and the charge pipe, causing the unused charge air to vent to atmosphere (VTA) giving off the well known, but distinct sound all turbo owners know and love! The adapter bolts right in with the included longer bolts, no other modifications or tuning are required. Precision CNC machined out of high quality aircraft grade billet aluminum and available in 4 different colors

Installation is simple and all mounting hardware is included.

Question:

On vehicles I had installed these on years ago (Subaru, VW, etc) the big drawback with the 100% atmosphere vent was that the factory BOV return is "downstream" of the MAF sensor, which had already accounted for the air that is then released with the aftermarket valve... resulting in the system "thinking" it has more incoming air than it really does. This results in a rich mixture momentarily, and would cause blackening of the exhaust tips very noticeably!

Is this an issue on these modern Ford ecoboost engines?

Excellent question, I can definitely understand where you’re coming from with concern to the vehicle not functioning properly, however on Ford’s US market Ecoboost vehicles, this is nothing to worry about.

No check engine light or loss of performance is caused by using this blow off valve adapter. Running our BOV/BOV adapter will not effect the fuel trim or throw a code for a couple of different reasons. The biggest reason is due to the way Ford tunes their USDM turbocharged cars. The USDM Ecoboost engines are MAP tuned, whereas in the rest of the world they use MAF tuning. This changes the way the ECU meters air going into the motor. In a MAF tuned car, the fuel trims would be affected by venting to atmosphere, however on a MAP tuned car like yours, the ECU is not affected by venting to atmosphere. In short, you've got nothing to worry about!

All of the USDM spec Fords so far use MAP tuning for the ECU where the vehicle doesn't care if you vent to atmosphere or not.

Will the new PHSSSSS! Noise void the warranty ?
We always recommend to have a good relationship with the dealer that services the vehicle, some dealers are more friendly towards aftermarket parts than others but there really shouldn't be any issues since this product does not change the way the vehicle runs, we have been offering it for a variety of Ford Ecoboost engines for over 8+ years and haven't had any issues.

Does this come with a set of "angry eyes" as well?

All joking aside, looks like a good product for those who are interested. Not for me, but welcome to the forum regardless! Looking forward to seeing your other projects in the works.

Thank you for the welcome we appreciate it, there will be many other products we will be releasing for the platform. Everything we manufacture and design happens under one roof right here in the Midwest. We do not outsource our products to anyone. Proudly manufactured in the USA.

Probably a silly question but is there any way to design one where it has the flutter like on a 2jz. That’d be so cool
