Ran a quick search for this but didn’t find anything. I know it’ll vary but for those who have towed a light boat and launched with their rig already, and assuming a lighter/shallower boat (20’ light inboard), how deep should one expect the back of the rig to sit in the water at launch/retrieval? BTW-This is assuming no hitch extension, tires are 37’s. Water over rear diff? Water in rear cargo area? Asking for a friend… 😉

As far as needed to get the boat off the trailer and no farther. It will depend on a number of things - how steep the ramp, how large the boat, how long is the trailer tongue, etc. etc.

Certainly. Many variables. Not trying to overthink it too much but am mainly asking those who’ve launched with their broncos already. Hoping someone has already experienced a similar (not necessarily exact) situation.

Like folks say, lots of variables. I have retrieved my 21' Inboard and water came to the bottom of the wheel. If water gets near the centerline (axle) I would use an extension or a different vehicle. And, for the Bronco's and trailer bearing benefit, don't spend anymore time in the water than needed.

With our ramp, I usually have to back the rear tires in to get the boat in the water enough to get it off the trailer. It doesn't matter what vehicle I've had.

I'm surprised I didn't have any pictures of the red Silverado with the boat at the ramp! :)

Too many variables to say for certain, for me it all depends on the tide.

Typically deep enough to cover the trailer wheel fender. Has nothing to do with how far in your truck goes 🤪

19ft inboard/outboard on single axle trailer, tires reach the water but don’t get wet on ramps that have more of incline than the pics shared.

I haven’t launched with the Bronco yet, but have done so with my Jeep. The back tires just touched water in my situation. But that is absolutely dependent on length of trailer, incline, length of trailer tongue, etc. Basically trailer goes in far enough for water to reach trailer fenders.

If this is your first time, watch videos and get the logistics of driving AND launching coordinated.

Then watch YouTube channel “Miami Boat Ramps” for what NOT to do.

I fish about 4 days a week, launched at 5 different ramps for a total of approximately 20 times with the bronco, have a 18 foot boat on a 24 foot trailer, I have only once ever had my rear tires in the water to launch. One ramp is steep one is flat. The rear tires are almost at the edge of water at both launches. Like they say, lots of variables is an understatement
