never thought of it that way, just my main focus is speed and going faster

Coming from a manual JL, I have no complaints with the Bronco OEM shifter but I grabbed one for the helluvit.

I have installed a few BUT only in sports cars and it is a BIG difference from stock.

A short shifter essentially decreases the throw distance from gear to gear to make shifts quicker.

A well designed short shifter will make the shifts more precise (the gates are well defined) so you don't accidentally go into 2nd when you meant to go into 4th ... I hope this makes sense.

So, driven manuals my whole life but have never installed a short throw shifter. Can anyone give some real world experience with this type of product? Can you ‘feel’ the difference?

A short throw shifter is something you will feel and get your moneys worth 100% of the time. Every time you drive the vehicle you will feel significantly shorter, much more direct throws. The reduction rate feels shorter than what actual percentage is as well.
