It's hard, like really hard, cueball hard.
it's higher. Which is more truck like, which I like.
My arm is more parallel now with my elbow on center console.
lock out works fine.
Shifts seem solid.

I don't know how much is perception and how much is reality, I need more time with it

I still want a leather knob cover.

Just installed mine and am very happy with the shape of the knob. I was worried about losing the leather, but the Delrin feels great!

For those interested, I weighed the individual components on a quality scale.

OEM Cap: 6.11 g
Boomba Cap: 3.29 g

OEM Knob: 71.09 g
Boomba Knob: 247.32 g

OEM Knob & Cap: 77.21 g
Boomba Knob & Cap: 250.64 g

How’s the distance from the top/bottom of the ball to the collar? Looks like there’s a significant increase. It’s hard to decipher geometry. Digging the weight increase. Logo…not so much.

Yup, the top of the knob is definitely further from the collar than OEM; however, I actually prefer the increase, so no problem here.

I don’t have an issue with the logo, but the double logo when combined with the SSK, looks silly. It’s laser etched into the Delrin, so I don’t have a clue how to go about staining/darkening it.

@Boomba Racing, will you be offering the SSK without the logo to those who have already purchased your knob? If not, the knob may be getting returned, as the SSK of of more use to me and the double logo is obnoxious.

Are there any considerations to potentially add a light knurling to the knob for a bit of textured grip?

I also agree that the double logos look a bit whack with the SSK.. If you can purchase everything as a kit, only one should be etched

Got my shift knob on Friday and installed it over the weekend. Super easy to install and it is indeed much nicer than the OEM knob. The shifting feel is primo, very happy with this purchase!

I really like mine as well, but unfortunately @Boomba Racing refuses to answer whether or not they will offer their SSK without branding, so guess I’ll return mine and wait for another vendor that is responsive to their customers.
