Does anyone know if the brakes are upgraded with the sasquatch package and/or tow package? I'm looking for aftermarket wheels and want to make sure I get the right fit.

Ok. Thanks! I figured they would be the same, but couldn't find anything. My luck I'd have ordered wheels without asking and they wouldn't have fit. Lol

Interesting how pedal feel and stopping power will compare between models with the smallest tires and those with the largest. Stopping with 37's might be awful on stock brakes!

I'm sure Ford didn't take that into consideration.

I looked up 2021 Bronco brake rotor diameters. Frt. 13".. rear 12"
My 2011 Raptor has frt. 13.75" and rear 13.5"
The Sasquatch option on the Bronco carries the same size tire as the 2011 Raptor. FORD pays engineers to figure all this out. šŸ§. It's all good.

I don't think it's all good...

Can anyone who has driven one comment on the brakes? I have a 2020 Ranger and by far my #1 complaint is the mushy, almost broken feeling brakes. I've gotten used to them, but they're awful. Feel really sloppy like they need to be bled, but the dealership and the ranger5g forum have all said that's just how they are.

Anyone?
Hey Someshoes- Quote from Car and Driver for you. I sure hope the Bronco has better stoppers but I wouldn't be surprised if they are carry-overs. That would really be too bad. Sorry about your Ranger...

They said: "Woefully under-dampened, the Ranger was always a second or two behind what the road was doing. And not only was it's 193-foot stop from 70 mph the longest here (comparison test) but the pedal feel was genuinely frightening. It sank through a couple of inches with no resistance or response and then grabbed with an immediacy that frequently had our heads bobbing."

That is not the Bronco spec, here it is.

Rotor diameter/thickness, Front 311 mm (12.25") x 34 mm, Rear 308 mm (12.12") x 24 mm

Always limited by wheel size... I think the biggest Iā€™ve seen with a 17ā€ wheel is about 13ā€ rotors... but the calipers were small piston.

Yeah, that's too small for 33" or 35" tires. I bet they upgrade them next year. I read the Wrangler is 12.9" front/rear, and the Sahara and Rubicon get heavier duty than the standard 12.9" so I'm sure Ford will follow suit.

Sorry for the confusion, I checked two places on the internet for brake rotor diameters. I will yield to your numbers. I still believe engineering should be left to engineers. It would be hard to imagine from all the testing in all regions of the US that someone wouldn't notice poor or overheating brakes.

As an engineer, I try to post real data. Few, if any websites have been updated for any real Bronco specs as Ford just released them. Further, Ford does not have the parts in commercial channels yet to there is no reason auto parts websites will to post accurate data when lazy placeholder data will do, in their eyes.

Regarding your assumption of poor or overheating brakes, but you want to "I still believe engineering should be left to engineers". I'll assume the brakes are just fine, performing as the Ford engineers designed them.

I put a 13.3ā€ kit on my JK. Donā€™t think any bigger will fit with 17s.

Ford is leaving room for a Ford Performance Parts multi piston big brake upgrade. I am surprised itā€™s not listed yet, and I will definitely be doing that.
