Like you, I want to swing big tires on small wheels. I just can't get enough information about the brake system to see where I land.

I'd really like to put 16's on if the brake system could handle it. Since I live so close to the Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, I might just see about having the brakes upgraded from factory just to pull this off. That's if they're not suitable to that much rubber.

Ford Bronco Brakes on Base Bronco Same as on other models? SmartSelect_20210111-174712_Firefox

Get crap results like that.... Or... Ask a question and wait for @Toccoa to find answers for me.... Yeah I'd go with Option #2 as well ?

i just want to see if the higher up models have the same brakes. if so i can always downsize to 16" wheels. no stranger to big brakes i currently run 16" wheels on my current rig with 4 piston Stoptech ST40 Calipers.

One of the insiders on the site said 'there are two brakes'. A cryptic answer, read into it as you like. I could see a heavier vehicle (4 door V6) or one with the Squatch possibly getting bigger brakes. But then again, would Ford put cheaper brakes on a lightweight Base to save a few bucks?

Yes, those cheep asshats would absolutely do that. But I doubt they will do it. Iā€™m assuming the brakes will be the same across all trims

I posed this question back in the summer. I feel like the consensus I got at the time that the brakes were the same on most models. Warthog is likely to be different. I actually hope I can talk the dealer into swapping me for a set of ranger or base steels and mount me a fresh pair of swampers I will show up with.

Is the wheel stud size even staying the same throughout the lineup?
Ranger is 12mm, F150 is 14. Even the heaviest Fusion they switched to 14,
which surprised me with 150 ft-lb wheel lug torque.

Get the vin number from the first base you see and first wildtrak you see and ask the parts guy to look up part#'s for pads, rotors, and calipers.
Wonder if we will be able to do this once people start getting VINs for their orders.

My guess:
Vehicles with the M210 front axle will get a bigger brake package.
(Squantch, BL, WT, FE)
Warthog maybe better calipers etc.

Sounds like a millennial trying to make sense of three foot pedals?
