Fellow brandmotion users. Any tips for setting the camera for night driving? In low light situations, there is a lot of glare from cars approaching and I can't always tell the distance.

Also, any tips to help keep water from beading on the camera lens? Is rainy season in the PNW and I find a lot of times a water drop on the camera obscures the rear view.

If you are talking about reflected glare I have mine angled down at all times so I do not pick up any reflections. As far as the rain goes I just tun mine off and use it as a normal mirror while it is raining.

Did everyone install themselves? I'm interested in this but not confident in the wiring part so curious around install costs.

I have the mirror angled up to prevent the double image. Problem is, when I turn it off, I have to readjust the mirror again back down. I want to be able to keep the rear camera on at all times, but just find that at night in high contrast situations, headlights approaching from the rear just flare the image and I can't tell the distance using the camera alone. I've tried messing around with the settings putting it in night mode or enhanced mode, but not seeing much of a difference at all.

Can the mirror be adjusted higher, i.e. closer to the upper console? Would that impact the view from the front camera?

For those of you over the age of 45 considering one of these……
My wife’s Land Rover has one and it is definitely a unique view. However I never use it because of the loss of depth perception and worse the fact that it is simply too blurry for my old man eyes to utilize it unless I tilt my head waaaaayy back so I’m looking at it through my progressive bifocals.

Yes there is a front facing camera built into the mirror. you can switch between three views by swiping left or right (rear, front, or dual view)

Finally installed, for me it's a blast. Love it.

Installing time was 3h, could be done in less if you know what you are doing.

So I got my unit replaced and it works great, except for after about 30 -40 minutes it starts blinking on and off. I've opened up the Fuse box and the controller box feels really hot. I haven't gotten an IR thermometer on it but I've noticed the box basically sits on the Defrost and Main vents for the Driver side. Has anyone seen this behavior with the colder weather?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems a more elegant solution would be for the mirror to utilize the existing Bronco cameras. If this mirror could could tap into those video feeds, it would be a simpler solution.

Thanks to everyone in this thread. This thread made it much easier to install than it would have been with just the factory instructions.

To those who use this mirror daily, do any of you feel the mirror is too dim during the day? This is how mine is oe a sunny day on full brightness. It seems too dim and makes it difficult to use.

I finished my install last night but now I'm getting a 'park aid fault' warning on startup. Has anybody else had this?
