So here she is.
I present my ordered 2022 Cactus Grey Wildtrak Bronco.
I ordered it like many of you on the first day.
Despite my age, and proclivity towards vehicle acquisitions this is the first brand new vehicle I’ve ever purchased for myself. Ironic considering it should have been much easier then tracking down an air cooled Porsche and yet …
I picked her up from Sawgrass Ford, whom I do recommend.

On the way home from its first full day of ownership and the ABS module goes out.
Yup. Coasted to a stop with no brakes in front of the gate to my community.
Rough start.
Had Roadside Assistance take her back to Sawgrass.

Fast forward 6 weeks later.
The dealership did everything they could all things being considered. The customer service at ford were trying to be helpful but seemed uncoordinated.
I got the call it was finally roadworthy just as I had started a local trail in my land cruiser.
I guiltily dropped off my trustworthy Toyota in front of the Ford store and proceeded to clean out what I needed to go back to the trail.
There was a part of me that actually felt bad.

Added the Amazon special side script and tinted the front two windows to nearly match.

My list of necessary parts is growing.
I already have the kc gravity light bar waiting for install.
I placed an order with white knuckle off-road for frame mounted sliders yesterday. I have them on my Land Cruiser and they’ve saved my ass a couple of times. I cannot recommend them enough.

Added the kc gravity 6 led light bar.
Wired into 1st position of the upfitter switched.

Very happy with overall product. A little surprised at how small the nuts are that hold this to the roof, other then that, the videos online are helpful but not exact.

Took her on it’s first fishing expedition to Islamorada. I discovered the governed top speed and overall found it acceptable. Not quite as comfortable as my Land Cruiser but quicker and better gas mileage. The big screen is incredible. Next afternoon driving lessons.

After hearing all these tie rod stories and comparing them to what’s on my 100 series Land Cruiser, I thought it would be a wise investment.
Decided on the Broncbuster ones. Very nicely made.

I decided today was the day to clean out the garage and see if I could get the new Bronco inside.

One of the disadvantages of taking off your roof and doors, where the hell do you store half a Bronco?

Getting ceramic coated
Should have done it before I took it out to the trails.
Apparently the plastic fenders can stain, I would not have figured.

Ceramic coated. Had my tint guy install a small strip of paint protection at the leading edge of the hood. It’s unnoticeable, but necessary. Already had a small chip in less then 1000 miles.

Decided to take the wings off the front bumpers.

Nice build! I'm ordering a '23 Cactus Grey Wildtrack. I was going back and forth between a Black Diamond with basically all the options that a Wildtrack comes standard with, but what pushed me over the edge to go with the Wildtrack was the fact that the upgraded HOSS suspension with HD steering rack, tie rods and Fox suspension were standard and only cost about $3K more than a similarly equipped BD.

I can't wait to see the White Knuckle Rock Sliders. Which ones did you get and which options?
I like that they're rock sliders and steps at the same time. My wife and 10 year old will appreciate them.

I have a set on my Land Cruiser and they have held up incredibly well.
I do not understand the point of the body mounted option, if they aren’t frame mounted I don’t want them.
they can be customized many ways, but I order them with no upward angle, and kick out on the rear. I also like

them with the diamond plate on top. Prevents little feet and dogs from getting caught up jumping in and out.
