As of a couple of years ago I know every engine gets tested. They have tons of dyno cells (100+). I work for a different manufacturer and we don't change the oil or filter after it gets out of the test cell. Also our oil isn't any kind of special break-in oil. The only additive we add to the oil is a dye that aids us in finding any leaks via blacklight.I haven't looked into Ford engine post-assembly procedure.
Are all engines put on a dyno? I could see someone cutting costs and only dynoing a sample of assembled engines for quality control.
If all engines are put on a dyno, do you know if they replace oil and filter after the dyno session?
