Phase 1 of the build is complete. Got my @LOD Offroad transmission and t-case skids installed. For those looking at skids, I highly recommend these, based on coverage. The transmission skid wraps around the cross members that so many have banged up wheeling.

Why did you use two different manufacturers for skid plates?

Wanted the aluminum where I could (Asfir). However I had seen that a lot of folks had been tearing up the cross members under the transmission, and the LOD skid offered the best protection as it literally wraps around and mounts to the cross members

Like any real mud tire, u can absolutely feel the lugs at under 5 mph or so. Road noise is pretty average for this type of tire. They balanced well and I’m happy with them so far, but mud terrain tires aren’t for everyone
How are you feeling about them after running them for a while now? I just put them on and had about the same initial experience. Haven't wheeled on them yet. They really really suck on icy roads though.

They are wearing pretty well, noise is no worse than it was. I’ve got about 16,000 miles on em and rotate them every 5,000 or so. They are great for wheeling. We don’t get ice here so I can’t comment on that. On a side note I do have to air down a bit more for wheeling because of the load range E

I chose them after seeing a group of early broncos in Moab that everyone had them, figured they must know something lol.
