Replacing my 2012 Mustang GT with the Bronco. Not buying it to race or really even go fast. I’ve done 135MPH, now looking for top down sunrise/sunset offroad or onroad cruising.

When did this place get so angry…

My only take away from these 0-60 posts is it helped me decide I “need” the 2.7 as the 3.6 in my Jeep is my least favorite part of its driving experience. Thankfully it is a cheap option and available on all trims so not a big deal.

The problem is obvious, the 2.7 is being limited by the tuning and transmission strategies used to reduce the power in 1st gear (this is nearly certainty) and the early lockup of the torque converter.

If they allowed the torque converter to stall at 2500-3000 rpm, then the turbos would spool practically instantly. The launch of the Bronco would be epic with a 3000 RPM lockup on the converter. I am betting that the converter is locking up at less and 1500 RPM.

Saw that who cares? i could smoke either one with my Golf R. These trucks are built for off road not drag racing.
