Bronco 2.3L versus Wrangler 3.6L then faces up against a Ram

I daily drive the pentastar and it’s not bad. Always seems to be underrated because it’s naturally aspirated, but with the 8speed trans, I don’t ever feel like it’s sluggish. My 2015 4Runner, now that was sluggish.

I went with the bronco v6. Didn’t want to end up feeling like the 4Runner.

Jeez... Does ANYONE pay attention?

They’re running an “Outer Banks” Bronco with aftermarket 35s. It doesn’t have the proper gearing for those larger tires. Of course it’s going to be slow.

Had they ran the Bronco with it’s stock tires, it would have easily beaten the Jeep. The 2.3L only makes 30 HP less than the 2.7L. The engine is not the issue here.

Putting the Bronco in a drag race is like taking the Mazda mx-5 off road and mentioning how poorly it performs.

Totally what I would have expected after comparing my 2.3 Badlands to the wife's 2.0 turbo Wrangler. The Jeep is noticeably quicker and gets better gas mileage. Gotta just be the weight. Bronco is fast enough for me though.

Now that is what I was expecting. Compare the Jeeps 2.0 to the Ford's 2.3, or compare the Jeeps 3.6 to the Ford's 2.7 (both being v6)

Well this is only because the Bronco driver was granny shifting, not double clutching like they should. They're lucky that 100-shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake.

The 2.3L will be faster than my 2.8L Duramax, that's all that matters. And I'm not buying my Bronco for racing anyways, going to be on the dirt in the trails

Huh? What does a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder have to do with anything? It’s about engine output, not cylinder count.
