MB3E-6007-AA is the part number you would use to order the complete engine (other part numbers are compatible MB3Z-6006-A, MB3Z-6007-A, MB3Z-6007-B, etc).

I think you missed a digit. 21159 (June 8th) 120217 would put you right in the middle of the sequence. So 3,500 miles has been the high cutoff so far. Glad it's running great!
Hmm interesting. Yeah would be nice to know from ford the problem build dates. Here is the full number. EF06A 21159 120217. So that puts me smack in the middle of the known problem engine build dates? Forgive my stupidity on the matter lol

The date your engine was built is the day before the earliest known failure.

June 9th - July 28th

The sequence number is in the middle of the known failure sequence numbers.

120068 - 120300

It's unclear whether this is going to track by date, by sequence number, or both. It may not even track at all, that's why the effort to track it.

Ok I understand. Well I’ll try to be optimistic lol. Thanks for the explanation.

Great, now I have to go find my engine number...so far running great at 1000 miles, but don't want to take her on a long trip if I'm in the middle of that group.

Mine is EF06A21175131382 - which I assume is June 24th....right dab in the middle of the failing engines. Awesome.

Yeah man kinda shitty to think about but as others have said, the probability, based on known failures, should be very low and should not effect your drive distance. Siiiiigh

But the sequence number is way outside the range. I would rather be in your position than mine.

120068-120400 vs 131382 (almost 11,000 units away)

or Dead Man Walking below...

120068-120400 vs 120249 (less than 150 units away from 2 known bad units)

I think you mentioned my sequence number is in the middle of the failed ranges. Maybe the other guys sequence number is outside the low and high range

Once again, I am not sure if it is date related or sequence related, but mine is both within the date range and the sequence range. Practically guaranteed to blow up.

damn man well I hope mine, yours and everybody else's will be ok moving forward lol. Even the auto stop/start scares the shit out of me randomly because this is the first vehicle I have owned that has that feature.

At this point, the first thing I'm going to do when i get mine on Friday is look at the engine info to see where it lands on this whole sequence. It was built July 15th, so I'm guessing it has a motor from that timeframe in it. Good times.

OK tin foil hat time.... Ford knew that the engines where bad, created the hard top issue to put them on the DM to avoid a rash of engines blowing up early in the release and all at once? ok maybe not but I'm sure 5G gave me a rash... LOL

I wish, but seriously, I don't even know if they are sure what the root cause is at this point. If they didn't know what the root cause was, and they said,

"We're collecting data on this, currently we have a handful of motors with a similar failure but no definitive cause. The motors we're currently investigating were built with dates between X and Y with motor sequence numbers from A to B. Should you have a similar problem, please have your dealer contact their Zone representative so that we can get an engineer involved early in the process."

That would satisfy my concerns... end it with:

"At this time we don't believe that motors between these date ranges and sequence numbers are likely to experience a failure; given that 99.72% engines have not experienced a failure of any kind. Until there is evidence that a significant number of engines are demonstrating this problem, it would be pre-mature to issue a recall or TSB at this time."

This is SO F'ing simple... It's called communicating!!!

Cha cha cha… yes, once upon a time…
Yes, but they take the tech and sell the company off. Not the best situation for the companies after the fact.
