I don't think that's anyone's logic, at least its not mine. Just a potential common denominator at this point. So an annoying but erroneous code pops up but is cleared, and then an airbag issue happens? I don’t see how the airbag and 2.7 engine are related
Everything is networked and has multiple modules exchanging info with each other. One module could have a parameter range setting that another is looking at and conflicts with what it thinks it should be. Networking issues are some of the most difficult electrical issues to diagnose because there is sooooo many related systems. You may get lucky and find a pin fit problem in a connector causing an intermittent concern or you could go through all of the pin point tests and find out Ford has a programming issue there is currently no fix for.So an annoying but erroneous code pops up but is cleared, and then an airbag issue happens? Yeah I was down on empty with the computer telling me I had 25 miles to go, so I was absolutely below a quarter tank when the light came on. This was the very first time I had to put fuel in it.Ford service advisor here. Regarding the lean codes, sounds like you may have run it low on fuel. Owners manual directs to fill at a quarter tank, if your light comes on you’re lower than you want to be. Just my .02
So realistically, the 2.7 4-door has only 280 mile range, then?Ford service advisor here. Regarding the lean codes, sounds like you may have run it low on fuel. Owners manual directs to fill at a quarter tank, if your light comes on you’re lower than you want to be. Just my .02
