Seems like only the 2.7L is having problems.

At the end of the day, vehicles are built with stuff that humans (evolved apes) dug out of the ground. It's truly amazing that it ever works. Probably a bad module. It will get fixed. Nothing Ford or Bronco specific. Just nature of the beast. Even if you build at 99.9% perfect (which seems good) you will still have 100 failures in 100,000 units.

Good luck. I had an early 2011 6.7. Same kind of stuff. It all got sorted.

So an annoying but erroneous code pops up but is cleared, and then an airbag issue happens? I don’t see how the airbag and 2.7 engine are related 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't think that's anyone's logic, at least its not mine. Just a potential common denominator at this point.

Everything is networked and has multiple modules exchanging info with each other. One module could have a parameter range setting that another is looking at and conflicts with what it thinks it should be. Networking issues are some of the most difficult electrical issues to diagnose because there is sooooo many related systems. You may get lucky and find a pin fit problem in a connector causing an intermittent concern or you could go through all of the pin point tests and find out Ford has a programming issue there is currently no fix for.

On it's face, the two post cat codes would indicate the converters are bad and not cleaning up the exhaust. First thing to do after checking codes would be to look at the connectors and terminals to make sure they are fully seated and there isn't damaged wiring. If all of that's good then the fun work starts.

I also was told they would call me first thing this morning to let me know if the wiring would be today. As of an hour ago I haven't heard from them yet, but at least I am staying busy at work, and I am in no way compulsively checking my phone, email, and bronco6g :)

Ford service advisor here. Regarding the lean codes, sounds like you may have run it low on fuel. Owners manual directs to fill at a quarter tank, if your light comes on you’re lower than you want to be. Just my .02
Yeah I was down on empty with the computer telling me I had 25 miles to go, so I was absolutely below a quarter tank when the light came on. This was the very first time I had to put fuel in it.

Sadly, this is just the beginning of these type of threads. The Bronco is a laptop with wheels. I don't recall hearing of any problems with the Bronco's that did any of the testing. Like KOH and all the other off road tests. I don't remember my '70 Bronco ever having a CEL and I beat the crap out of it.

So realistically, the 2.7 4-door has only 280 mile range, then?
