Super happy to see my vision come together so far. got hoss 3.0 takeoffs good deal. Sasquatch wheels awesome deal as well. Took me about two days for suspension swap. Which I did hit some issues. Rear was maybe the most difficult (hard to reach upper mount bolt, wheel wells 🤦🏻‍♂️).

Looks great. Did you swap the tie rods and steering rack as well?

I love the way it looks. I feel you on the suspension swap, was a trial by fire for me.

I assume these are direct bolt-in replacements?

I did not swap them. I was only able to get my hands on shocks. I will be looking into steering rack (maybe hoss 3.0), tie rods and UCAs once I recover from this expense haha. Thx for looking!

thanks! Nice setup you have. It was a mission, had a nearby incident where it leaned over after trying to drop jack from differential while it was on a jackstand sitting kinda low. Definitely was a headache but glad i didnt tap out.

I love it! This forum opens my eyes about so much, so often. Take-off suspension parts have changed my Base Model to a Better-Base Model. Enjoy your improved ride performance! 😉

Congrats! I’m getting Hoss 3.0 takeoffs on my Bronco Monday. I’d love to do the work myself but don’t have all the tools and don’t want to mess anything up.

Did you have to get any new nuts or bolts to do the swap? Any tips and tricks for the install?

That depends on the build date of your Bronco. There may have been a change to the thread pitch (iirc) after the first year for the shock tower nuts. Other than that, it should be plug and play.

If you want to do it shop manual correct, you would replace all the suspension nuts that you remove (like UCA ball joint nuts, sway bar nuts, tie rod nuts, and axle nuts).

The easiest way to get the front shocks in and out is to use a large pry bar from the top. Trying to pry them from the bottom is a fool's errand.

Removing the inner fender liners is necessary to get the front and rear shocks in and out (unless you want to tear up your hands).

Do not try to pull the wheel hub into position using the axle nut, you will cause the CV to separate (and then you will either need to rebuild it or replace it).

Thank you for the info, really helps me out as it's kinda hard to find info on this. Would you say it is necessary to replace all of the nuts and bolts?
