I'm sorry. I'm assuming you've already done this, but if you haven't, I would totally ask your resident ding dong for the case number.
I did and havent got a reply

I’m looking forward to my Anderson Composites hard top. Should be here around the end of Feb. Hoping it is a super solid piece. I looked them over at SEMA and they looked fantastic. I’ll do a review when it arrives. My sister has a Bronco with a MIC 2.0 hard top so I will be able to compare them side by side.

(and @BroncoBenster )Just throwing this out there. I engaged with the Ford member using the messaging on this forum, and while they may very well be some ding dong working in a cubicle, a ticket got opened with Ford. And while I don't know that the ticket influenced my level of service at the dealer, as a result of the ticket I did get some additional non-monetary compensation (service agreement for my first three years, including synthetic oil for oil changes). When there is a social media opportunity to get on a corporation's radar, always take it. It's free, and while again I'm not sure that they specifically did anything (i.e. I wouldn't make it my sole course of action), it feels better to know that your dealership didn't do something to placate you and the issue died there, and never reached Ford. That said, my issue was with a bad APIM, but as soon as I hit 'post reply,' I'm going out to check my MIC top :)
Totally unrelated

Are you talking about the almost $10,000 top that is on their site or is there something else being released?

Thats a bot that replies then when you message them you get some ding dong working in a cubicle in who knows where that doesnt know shit about fuck.
So the bot is the 'intake specialist' then the bot hands the inquiry off to a ding dong in a cubicle?

just want to be sure i understand the order of operations here

You're not wrong. But you have expectations that aren't in line with the sticker price (picture shows a Sasquatch Moar Door Badlands with minimum High package). You are making the correlation that the top should match the sticker price. But the top's quality matches the Base sticker price. Ford doesn't make a top with higher quality based on what trim you order.

The quality is still unacceptable. Last year, (I won't tag/call out the poster) a member was posting/boasting with a picture of their FE and 392 side-by-side. Yet, their MIC top on their FE looked like a checkerboard of mismatch panels. Personally, I wouldn't have posted a photo of that hot mess as it was an embarrassment.

Ideally, the quality should reflect the top trim and lower trims benefit from the improved quality. But Ford has done the opposite by offering the same Base quality throughout. The FE and WT has the same cheap interior plastics as the Base does and by extension the same cheap MIC top that is offered on the Base.
The brochure of next vehicle I buy will lay out options like that:

Platinum Trim: stuff matches and doesn't fail or degrade before your warranty expires

(Other trims in between)

Economy Trim: thanks for your purchase, each piece of the roof of your vehicle was hand-dyed using a unique and special process, it will age over time with exposure to sunlight and may rub off on furniture

Hopefully this will be corrected with the modular hardtops release?

We can all hope that with the different design that it will lead to higher quality, but the common denominator in both is that they are made by Webasto. Now, Webasto has been at this game for other manufacturers for some time. They suddenly didn't become incompetent on just the Ford MIC top. I would wager that we'll see issues with the mod top.

And to get back to my point about the price tag/expectations correlation. Originally at launch, there was differentiation in the upper trims from the Base trim. The FE/WT were supposed to get the gloss black mod top. Everyone can remember the HLIP that was supposed to get soft-touch surfaces. But instead, Ford over promised and under delivered. Everyone is buying a Base Bronco with different features locked behind the respective trims. Is up to buyers to determine if having access to the LUX package is worth the delta in price difference. But just optioning the LUX package doesn't make it a luxury appointed Bronco. It still has the same cheap plastic interior irregardless if you option leather seats.

Their Carbon Fiber version is the one at $9499.

The Fiberglass version comes in white, black and primer grey and costs $5999.

Some of them are cracking and it looks like that snakeskin wants to, so I'd want something stronger than paint. I have a feeling there will be a lot of bedlinered hard tops a few years from now.
The bedliner option is moot right now. Cannot get in white or colored due to dye constraints. Adds about 15% weight as well. Seems insignificant but just a stat to add. I have both tops and the HT will be painted white here in the near future.

Please do. Waiting for the 2 door to be made. They are the only company doing so, so far
