No, that's in fact not what I'm saying. You're reading a lot into what I'm saying that I did not in fact say. To use your example, the language in the terms as originally posted provides for building according to availability of parts, so if they don't have the parts for the sasquatch then they can build a later reservation while waiting for your parts. However, no part of the terms and conditions allowed for them to delay building your vehicle because of limitations on dealer allocations. In fact, when the reservation system first was introduced Ford appears to have intended to build them in line with reservation numbers as close as possible within manufacturing constraints (e.g. batch manufacturing efficiencies and availability of parts). However, the dealerships seemed to have balked at this and forced Ford into this asinine allocation system which completely negates the reservation system and is a breach of the initial contract (which is why they've rewritten the new T&C several times to account for these changes for new reservations).
I am sorry but your post is wrong, wrong, wrong. Ford was always going to allocate Bronco's to its dealers. No Bronco will be allocated to a Dealer with out a valid time stamped reservation customer. Yes people are and will be disappointed because of limited quantity of MY21 Broncos. The people who really want a Bronco will have one with in a year. There are people on this site that have been waiting for their BRONCO for YEARS and they are the ones with the biggest SMILES because it's Happening.
This whole process of getting a new Bronco designed, Tested, built and brought to market with COVID in the mix has tested Ford's metal. We are watching an American Auto Manufacturer navigate a tightrope with the future of the company and the employees on the line. It has to be both exciting and stressful to be apart of Bronco. I for one wish them success, because if they win we the customers win.

that's fine, I'll simply move on to another vehicle. I'm not emotionally tied down.
I feel the same but my wife is so I don’t have a choice.

Finally got all the way through this thread...

Same I reserved on 7/14 so I feel pretty good about getting mine by June/July
Think again, nothing is guaranteed. I'm #187 out of 140 allocated, according to my dealer, with a 7/14 reservation (mid day, IIRC). I was told I might be a 2022, maybe a 2021 if people cancel or certain builds are pushed back

I think it is pretty ridiculous if you reserved in the first week that you may not get a unit until December 2021 or later.. my assumption is Ford is gonna get 40% conversion and we all are over reacting.
Agree, ridiculous. Here I was thinking that a second day reservation wasn't too bad. I also hope we're all overreacting.

If Ford thinks my 7/14 3am reservation will not only possibly end up a 2022MY but potentially go up in price because they're buffoons then they can eat a dick.
+1.

Based on my our meeting on Friday there are going to be a ton of delays and drop offs with orders. It seems like higher end trims like badlands or leather equipped models and even Sasquatch will be harder to get if at all the first year based on allocation. If you didn’t reserve day one the odds aren’t in your favor. More standard equipped like base and big bend will be more available.
I have to believe that there will be more cancellations, so I'll keep playing along. I'm thinking Black Diamond, and the only issue that might delay me (according to what I read) is the 2-door. So I'm proceeding with the hope that, no matter what the initial numbers say, I'll ultimately get a 2021. The counter-argument is that the people who reserved very early, ahead of me, are also probably the most serious buyers and least likely to cancel.

I had my reservation in within the first 45 minutes of the site going live; not worried.

My reservations is on 7/14, second day. I really don't think I will get my Bronco until October. If a second day reservation has to wait until MY 2022 that is pretty sad. But I will wait. I have 3 other vehicles, all 4x4, all paid for. I can wait. I really think this truck is worth it. JMO.
1/20-I just found out I'm 159 out of approx 150 dealer allocations. So maybe I will get a 2021, maybe I wont

I'm an early morning 14th reservation. Number 13 of 42 allocations to my dealer in NY. I think I'm safe!

Day one FE Res here. Spoke with my dealer Saturday and He says I'm #5 for the dealership, I will be getting mine! :) My build is in his hands and he will be submitting it to WBDO in the morning.

You are not wrong. If a dealer received 50 allocations last week then the 1st 50 on their list gets to submit their orders.

I thought it was the number of Broncos each dealership can order? Am I wrong?

I got some good news......as of today I'm #41 on the reservation list at my dealer and they have been given an initial allocation of 49 Broncos. Squeaked in with a mid August reservation!!! Let's get that Big Bend ordered!!

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I got a different explanation from the New Car Sales Manager at the dealership I'm reserved at. He is their "specialist". According to him, dealers are expected to convert as many reservations as they can in to orders. Orders will be assigned VINs based on dealer allocation, commodity availability, and timestamp. Initial allocation will likely change after the order banks close. The number of VINs assigned will be based on final allocation.

Again, according to the specialist. I can't confirm or deny any of it.

If this is correct, it would be foolish for a dealer to only submit as many orders as their allocation.

Don't let the cat out of the bag on who your dealer is....a lot of people with much earlier reservations who are on the outside looking in at their dealer may try to switch and jump the line on you...
