I case you are late to this thread. I am aware..

1) Badlands is a better match to Rubicon
2) Rock rails are standard on Badlands despite B&P.
3) Everyone thinks Bronco is better so why compare.
4) It could be 2022 before we get ours, this is an exercise in futility.

We are still doing it. Just for fun.

Personally I would go with the Badlands but lose the Lux and go down to high and with the money saved add Sasquatch.

Michael, I don't know if it's been mentioned or not because there are a lot of post already, and I could have missed it. You didn't mention engine choice, so I thought I mention them. Owning a 2019 JLUS 4 door with the 3.6L/auto I will say it's a hell of a combination. Smooth running, with smooth shifts, and always in the correct gear. But, that 3.6L is a different animal than Jeeps 2.0L turbo, and of course either of the Bronco's turbo engines. Just a though if you want to match up the engines closer to get a better comparison on the power of both vehicles.
My daughter's JLUR is a 2019 2.0L and mine is a 2020 3.6L. I get to drove both often. They are surprising similar around town and off-road.

I have a couple other Fords with Ecoboost and like them. Going with 2.7L in the Bronco.

The new JLUR will be the 3.6L and the Badlands will be the 2.7L.

I already know the outcome of this comparison. Bronco will crush of course. But this brings up an interesting question, what category do people think Jeep might actually win ?

As is, this is a fun test, and now a much closer match than a lot of comparisons made by youtubers *cough TFL cough*. I look forward to the review. If you were going to level it out even further, you could forego the sasquach package and match the tires you’re getting on the rubicon

don’t let the forum piss on your parade

I would keep tire sizes the same. More apples to apples. So unless you plan on putting 35s on the Jeep I would not get Sasquatch otherwise they are starting out as different machines.

You do realize the only real difference in capability in a Badlands and a Wildtrak is the front sway bar disconnect, right? Your definition of far more capable seems....well a bit exaggerated.
Not true the badlands has the steel rear bumber and modular front bumper as well as the full upgraded bash plates and the non squatch badlands also has more articulation in the suspension. which is also limited by the squtch package. it also has the crawl gear in the MT which gives it the 94-1 ratio. it also comes with rack crawl mode. both are capable vehicles you just have to spend more to make the wildtrack like the Badlands. badlands comes standard with all that. your wildtrack build could be 5-10 grand less with the badlands and again more comparable to the rubicon. all I'm saying is if you want to do an accurate comparison do it with a badlands and rubicon.

We do plan to get (move our 35" from existing JLUR). So that will be an "episode".

I think badlands, 2.3 MT non sas would be much closer comparison with a rubicon than the sas w/ automatic. You could get the MT in rubicon too. Anyway, I like the plan in general.

How is the Wildtrak like a Mojave? There's nothing that makes it more of a desert runner than any other trim..
Just going by what both company's "marketing materials" say for their respective trim levels. I'd say based on that it seems that is the intended purpose or market so that's why I drew the parallel.
