I was drinking a 8% DIPA earlier. I have a couple $100 worth sitting in my stash. Single and Double variants. It is an acquired taste. Btw Hubbard's Cave is legit

Just seeing your post, and awesome to see one of my home town brews! We hit up Riverlands and nearby Obscurity Brewing in Elburn often. Cheers!

I've been really enjoying sipping on the big brother to the 9lb Porter (A local legend here in Seattle), the seasonally offered 18 lb Hammer.

It drinks drastically lighter than any 11% ABV bourbon barrel aged Imperial porter has any business being, and is quite tasty. Have a few bottles in the cellar to season them up a few more years.

I can imagine drinking a few bottles of this before riding a horse as a very poor decision.

I love beer but cheap beer. Either Miller Lite or Karbach Crawford Bach or Rodeo Clown.

But lately my favorite drink has been Bumbu Rum with coconut milk. Just amazing.
My knowledge of rum is limited. I drink beer and have learned a great deal about whiskey over the last few years. The rum that I like is usually older more complex sippers.

Your rum coconut milk drink has me intrigued, mind sharing the recipe?

No recipe really I just take a shot or two of rum and mix with coconut milk to taste. It's not too great with other rums but Bumbu has a banana flavor that mixes well with the coconut milk.
