I'm at it again, due to the price hikes I'm once again considering the competition. This is what i would build if i went with the Mopar Brand. Might consider the 4 door for the Jeep, but will stick with the 2 door of the bronco, just because i like the look over the 4 door of the Ford brand.

Not trying to knock you at all, kudos to you for considering the competition, I've looked at the Willys models too. But IMO, looking at that sticker price sways me even more towards the bronco. For 46k MSRP, I can get a 4-door Black Diamond, hard top, 2.7 auto, advanced transfer case, with mid package.

Over the Willys, the BD has e-locker vs. limited slip, more safety/comfort features with the BLIS, cross-traffic, lane keep/lane warning, steel bumper, the dope MGV and washout interior, the 6 aux switches standard vs. the $500 upgrade for 4 in the Jeep, oh and 4 doors vs 2 haha. The Willys beats the BD in the dual tops and available upgraded sound system, but I feel overall you're getting way more vehicle for 46k in a bronco than a wrangler.

Or...46k gets you a 2.7 4 door basesquatch hardtop with steel bumpers. Maybe tomorrow I'll make up my mind.

In the current configurations of things, this is what i would currently build. I would plan on adding my own wheels and tires down the road. Which is additional cost. Plus with all the discounts Jeep is offering it is a tight race. January cant get here soon enough.

You're not wrong.

But $34k gets me a willy's I'd be perfectly happy with.

$34k on the bronco gets you a base with an automatic and not much else. And I don't think I'd be happy without some aftermarket upgrades on atleast the wheels and tires.

I just did the same thing! And for the third time in a row I proved to myself that the Bronco is the one for me. My Willys build came out to almost EXACTLY what my BD build is (both at the 42 mark). I do like the tires and wheels a little better on the Jeep, and their interior seems to have improved from whatever I test drove a few months back, but for me it's the front end styling. I just can't get excited about the Wrangler. Meanwhile I'm anxiously awaiting the RC Bronco (even without its battery or controller) coming in on Tuesday for my bookshelf.

There's just something about the Bronco. Hence I'm... here.

Very true. At that price range, I think you'd be way happier and get more bang for your buck in the Willys than the Bronco, if you're just looking at 2-door.

IMO, the way I see it, the Wrangler starts lower priced and better valued than the bronco, but goes way higher and decreases in value whereas the bronco increases in terms of how much value you're getting. The problem about all of the a-la-carte options Jeep offers, that Ford bundles in packages and frustrates many buyers on this forum, is that in some cases specing out an equivalent Jeep adds up very quickly. I haven't ventured to try it yet, but I feel like if I were to build a Rubicon with every comparable feature to a lux Badlands, I would end up with something way more expensive. On the other hand, you can grab a totally capable 2-door Willys with exactly the features you want to pay for. In a Bronco, you will have to either spend more on wheels/tires/level/lift aftermarket to get the capability on the Base, andor step up a lot to the BB to get the better packages.

Yeah. For just another 4k you can get sasquatch on that base but to get equal performance out of the jeep cost go WAY up.

It's a tough call.

All due respect, you won't make up your mind. Many folks here are still tweaking their builds.

One huge plus for the Jeep. Doing a solid front axle lift is way easier, and a decent amount cheaper, than the IFS. I've watched a ton of videos from when I was considering a gladiator, and installing control arms and new springs in the SFA is stupid easy for 3.5-5 inches of lift. On IFS, I've done coilovers on 2 of my trucks which isn't too bad, but the max you can do without stressing your CV joints is about 2.5 inches. A full crossmember drop 4-6 inch lift from BDS, Zone, or somewhere else reputable, is going to run you $3500 minimum for the lift, closer to $5k if you're doing shocks. And 90% of people don't have the tools or know-how to do it right in their driveway. Another reason to go for the wrangler...or get the sasquatch if you know you want the Bronco!!

No disrespect, but several people are comparing the Jeep MSRP to the Bronco MSRP. Everyone knows you can get the JEEP well under the listed price. You have to compare out the door price of the two. Apples to apples the Jeep will be cheaper....but it isn't a Bronco!
