This was just posted from Ford to Dealers. Will this keep dealers from being shady?

Seems like many ways to game the system, and 20% non match is kinda high/gives them some flexibility to not deliver a Bronco to the one who ordered it. A major metropolitan dealer could screw 20 people out of 100 to pay ‘ransom’ or have to walk. But, at least Ford is trying.

Seems like Ford is not messing around! I wouldn’t be surprised if 20% of people who chose to convert didn’t pick them up for whatever reason. Glad they have an appeals process for the honest dealers that just have bad luck.

I'm not sure how they calculated 80/20 but it seems like a good fit. Ideally everyone that orders will complete the same and drive it home. Unfortunately, life will happen sometimes and finances fall through. It should give dealers some breathing room when a customer has to walk

Is this future stock allocation for the dealer or '21 reserved allocation? If the latter then this will hurt the customers of shady dealers more because it'll delay deliveries on valid orders. If they want to make it sting then it needs to be loss of F150 stock allocation but then they'd just up prices and give some bs about factory shortage, not anything they did.

So your unused reservation now has value. Whether you are looking to cancel your only one or drop a second one. It's transferable-its a commodity. Find a buyer ( dealer ).

Nice, great job getting invoice from them. I’m at Stephens with early res so happy to drive for some savings. But glad a local gave you some movement on price as my area dealers (south hills) wouldn’t budge.
