Yes It is getting very expensive for non residents. Im lucky enough to live here so It cheap to hunt as a resident. And there is a general open season for everything somewhere in the province. I used to live in Revelstoke and the Bear and goat hunting was great. Good luck on your hunt with your daughter. I hope you both are successful.

Great stories so far on trails and comradery. My parents are in town for a few days and I might try taking my dad on some trails today. The Cove Creek Road trail that you posted towards the beginning looks like something up our alley. I have some experience with riding trails, but it will just be us solo so not trying to get stuck or break something.

I'm in SW Missouri. Long range shooter/hunter. Bought a Kansas lifetime license before leaving for active duty.

We schedule trips on the Arkansas club page, so check in there for date and times. We donā€™t do anything too difficult as everyone has their own comfort zone. Mostly just try to have a fun day.

May 17, 2022 Update

Ford Bronco Bronco Day Trips in Northwest Arkansas 1DB24EE8-F468-44AA-87A5-A1C266FD7577

Our NWA group expanded to 5 Bronco owners, including (from left to right): @Razorbak86 (4D BL), @mikec426 (4D OB), @Ragtop1962 (2D BD), @NWAchad (4D OB), and @kodiakisland (2D BD).

The trails were pretty typical for the Ozark National Forest, with a mixture of mud, rock, logs, felled trees, and shallow water crossings.

We met for lunch at Pizza Den, a wonderful, family-owned restaurant in Mountainburg known for its pizzas, hoagies, and calzones. Then we tackled the Warloop Road trail, which I posted about back in April, with the trail head literally a few hundred yards north of the restaurantā€¦

Warloop Road was a good warm-up for the main highlight of this trip, which was the Alexander Mountain Road trail, which we tackled today for the first time. This is a beautiful trail that descends down to a low point of 691 ft elevation at Hurricane Creek before rising almost 900 ft to 1,581 ft elevation...

We also re-visited the scenic overlook in the White Rock Mountain Recreation Area, where the wide swath of forest visible below us for 30+ miles from the overlook was much greener than during our visit one month earlier.

All in all, it was another fun day filled with food, trails, and comraderie, and we almost doubled the size of our group.

Thanks for checking out the latest update! :)

Below are some short video clips captured by group members throughout the day.

pretty neat how the Trail-Turn-Assist can wait in the background till you need it - am looking forward trying this ( w my rig presently at the dealer, waiting pickup/delivery via Central Dispatch - decided 300 miles shuffling back & forth was too much trouble ) - soon will have my own ' Trail-CCW ', which I already have the permit of course

2Dr hairpin 3-point turn - yeah am sure lively discussion ensued - " conservative test driver " - yeah if Kodiak were driving am sure he would've taken it about 45-mph, just whipped the steering, sliding rear wheels around the corner while countering-steering to stay on the trail - we can visualise James Garner in his gold Trans-AM doing one of his signature ' J-turns ' in Rockford Files
:LOL::ROFLMAO:;)

I would have made the turn one way or the other. I already know how big a tree I can push out of the way and how much gets me hung up. I learned off roading from the give'er more gas school of thought. Can't wait till I get some proper sliders so I can start pivoting off them.
I guess that yeller 4D is pretty cool though.

Congrats on your imminent Bronco pickup. You must be excited. ā€˜Trail-CCWā€ indeed! šŸ˜Ž

Thanks for the ā€˜Rockford Filesā€™ reference. I havenā€™t thought about that show in decades. What a blast from the past! šŸ¤£

Since I have flown in single-engine aircraft with @kodiakisland piloting, I can very well imagine him performing that maneuver exactly as you described. šŸ˜‚

much appreciated, yeah it's been a long wait and feels sorta lucky at this point w all the craziness going on w MAP this Winter/Spring

absolutely, have all the 'Rockford Files' DVD's, every season, every episode

ahh that's right, I forgot Kodiak's single-engine pilot . . the trail driving prob just walk in the park for these pilot daredevils . . lolol
you know, once in a while people show me their sky-diving photos or similar
- I just look at em and say " there's something I'll never do " . . :ROFLMAO: . . and never have . . lolol
Heā€™s been flying tail-draggers and float planes lately. Landing on grass airstrips with a crab approach in cross-winds is pretty fun, but I havenā€™t landed on water yet.

I also ride a 50cc dirt bike around the back yard, so there is that...
