I finally got around to installing the slide out.

Looks good. What is your initial impression? I am waiting on the top to make it a drawer myself.

When you were installing, do you think a looped strap with an eyelet (like picture below) would be able to be secured through the bolt and still come up the side? I am thinking of how I could tie down stuff to the top since the tie down are gone.

I think I’m going to like it. It locks in really well and I didn’t notice any rattling when I went for a drive.

As far as the looped straps. There’s plenty of room on sides for the bolts in the front. The area in the very back sticks out further. It’s pretty tight there. I’m not sure when you add the top and it comes down taking up more room. The plastic there does have some give.

The 2 door locker design is almost complete with sliding tray.

The sliding tray will require the purchase of the locker, but the locker can be purchased separately.

Will there be a tray option without the locker box? Frankly, my sole goal is a flat back seat with seats down. Looking to increase open floor storage… not divide it.

I don’t know that many will see the benefit to a 16/18 inch slide drawer.
It’s worth looking into if there is a high demand for it.

Fair enough. I see it as accomplishing the goal of a flat area as much as storage. There have been a handful of DIY builds here that have gotten lots of love but nothing built with the materials and quality of what you’re showing. That sounds like enough room for jumper cables, a first aid kit and a recovery strap… maybe a flashlight as well!

Fellow 2dr owners, speak up! Do you also want a 2dr covered drawer?!

So....there are self-tapping screws at the sides... into the cargo area of the tray?

Would be in for a 2 door option that allows for a fold flat sleeping area, personally not a fan of dividing the areas up.
