Just curious about whether this would be a cool decision for the First Edition and how others on here would feel about this... Since The Bronco seems to be a second half of 2021 production vehicle, what are everyone's thoughts on producing the 7,000 FE's as a 2021 model year and the rest as a 2022 model year. I'm not sure if this would be a good or bad thing, but it might give more exclusivity to the FE's especially since they doubled the number. Any thoughts??

So you're suggesting that a company deeply struggling & in desperate need of a huge financial win cater to 7,000 people while pissing off another 160,000+ people? This would definitely not be a cool decision. FE's are already exclusive.

Iā€™m sorry, but I would personally throw eggs at every Bronco FE on the street. Thatā€™s some bad publicity and business strategy and I donā€™t think anyone except FE owners would want it.

I wouldn't be upset about that just means mine becomes a year newer so to speak. As long as it doesn't impact delivery times

It would make since, they are the first editions hence they should be made first and the owners are paying for that luxury to be the first. I hope they are serial numbered. I can't afford one. But they will receive a nice vehicle to pass down to their kids.

Iā€™m cool with that. Let them work out all the kinks on the FEs. Then give me my ā€˜22 Bronco :)

If they wanted to go the route thatā€™s fine by me. I donā€™t especially care if my Bronco is called a 2021 or a 2022. As long at I get it as early as possible.

I think Ford is going to do everything under the sun and the moon to make and produce as many bad ass Broncos they can. They know they have a home run hitter and why wouldnā€™t they want to capitalize on this as fast as the momentum can take them

It seems like they called them first edition for a reason. If I was 3501 and had to wait for a 2nd run, someone else would be buying it.

I suggested this a while ago on another thread. I am good with it, as long as it wouldn't push back production as they are saying June 2021 anyway...
So the other series would just be early 2022 models. I don't care what year they call it, as long as I get it before June 8 2021, for my birthday! Best present ever!!!

Good idea! I like it OP!

After the FE just have early released 2022 and this would have nothing to do with production Ford could and would still produce all they can to meet demand!

If calling it a 2022 gives me A/C seats, sure :p

It will make a FE worth less, not more. Model Yr is the primary determinant of resale value. Those that think FEā€™s are some kind of ā€investmentā€ should look at the history/value of special editions that have no mechanical differences from their stable mates.

Best thing Ford could do for all early Bronco buyers is call them all 2022ā€™s.

Itā€™s all semantics and pretty meaningless once itā€™s all said and done. Ford will be building them as fast as they can and the model year will have little to no meaning. I think people are over-estimating the future value of the FE. 7,000 (or even 3,500) just isnā€™t that exclusive.
