I am really wondering how competitive the interest rates for the Bronco and Bronco Sport are going to be, in May i got 0% on my wife's 2020 Edge for 5 years, Jeep is running 0% up to 72 months currently on Wranglers. I just hope Ford doesn't come out of the gate with something ridiculous like over 5% just because its a new vehicle. I have never had to go higher than 1.9% through Ford Credit and would like to keep it that way

Ford credit needs to make a profit off of the Bronco as well. I’m sure the interest rates will be fine but don’t expect a deal if you pre-order.

Totally agree, I just like using Ford Credit because they have always been the best option even over my CU, but i just know they are looking at this like a cash cow and worry they are going to throw out some ridiculous rate to make $. If its high though i am for sure going 3rd party

Ford Credit(well FOMOCO really) assigns special apr's just like they do rebates. They base them off demand and days supply. I would not expect any kind of stellar rate at all on the Bronco. If you follow the Ford Superduty(hottest vehicle currently in Ford's lineup) you would see they never incentivize them. Anything that sells on it's own, they're not going to pay out money on. Same with rates since Ford Credit isn't a bank and borrows their money on the open market.

I certainly don’t see them offering 0% off the bat for this vehicle.

I always go in pre approved from a CU with low rates. Give them an option to match or beat it. A few times they have and others have come out and said they couldn't even waste my time trying.

yeah I wasnt expecting 0% but if they could be competitive with a CU/Bank which is currently at 2.7% (+/-) i think that would be fair, especially to keep people who have been loyal to FOMOC for 20+ years

Most of the time they should at least meet your credit union rate. I’m hoping they reward us for waiting with maybe a little break though. ? 0.9 or even 1.9 would be nice.

Just my guess here: Regardless of what rate is populated on Ford's shopping tool (5.9 last time I looked) Ford motor credit will want to stay competitive, as they (should) know folks will provide their own financing, aka shop around. Additionally, dealers should look at all financing options. My 16 4Runner was financed with Toyota credit - 2.9% and my 18 Tundra with a CU at 2.9.

I will likely be able to get 2.99% on an 84 month through my CU.

Wow, 7 years for buying a vehicle. I didn't realize that was a thing.

84 month loans for a vehicle still blow my mind but I guess since they cost as much as a small house in some markets it is understandable. Just realize that it will still be upside down in three years when you want to trade up to the Warthog!!!!

Golden One here in Calif is 2.9% on new vehicles, as I bank with them it makes things easy, but then again if I don't get my BD until Sept-Oct of 21 then I will just pay cash as we did with the wife's car.
