They had one at the local dealer.
Still haven’t seen one of those in-person.
Was this a factory or after market? That had one at the local dealer.
Factory, but a different package name, I believe it's the Sunset graphicWas this a factory or after market?
Still the Free Wheeling package but with the optional full "sunset" stripe available in '79, the standard stripe was the one in the upper right picture in the brochure pic below. Those wheels though are aftermarket Western style wheels that were popular during that timeframe.Factory, but a different package name, I believe it's the Sunset graphic
There's a Sport local to me with the same graphics. Been running around a couple years and it's painfully ugly. I couldn't believe it when Ford went and released their own version of that neon vomitmobileThe sport Free Wheeling is horrendous. Had one as a rental and my wife called it Rainbow Bright.
I long for the days when you could be oblivious to all the horrors of this world unless you purposefully availed yourself to the fire and brimstone pavement of a dealership.
Ford merch clearance emails begin within 30 days
This reminds me of the fake wood vinyl on the sides of PT Cruisers...There’s a white Free Wheelin’ at one of our local dealerships. It’s been on the lot for months, but the stripe package actually looks nice on white. Here’s one in green (my new 2dr is parked in front.)
dont give Ford any ideas please some things should just stay in the past. This reminds me of the fake wood vinyl on the sides of PT Cruisers...
I just saw a Sport with this package yesterday. I didn't get to see inside it but it's definitely an attention getter with the bright colors.
