Can’t wait to see it mounted. Did you build this yourself?

Might have saved me some time, but not money..... $200 for a set. I can make them myself, and I enjoy doing it, plus I can make them indestructible. Who knows what type of LED's are being used. Can they withstand harsh off roading, or being submersed?? I'd be very interested to know what LED's they have behind the covers...... That's why you can get a Rigid or Vivid Lumen light bar for $1800 or one from Amazon (same size) for $120..... which one do you think will last?? Food for thought.......

no, Cut them on a CNC. Tried doing them on a laser, but cutting the depth I needed distorted them, so did it on a CNC. You could do it on a 3D printer, but the material would have to be equal in all areas. After I CNC'd the letters, I sandblasted them to remove any hot spots from the LEDs. Led's that I used are good for 100,000 hours, so I shouldn't have to change them out for over 10 years !!! (by that time Ford will be on version 25.2 MIC hard tops.... :ROFLMAO:)

Interesting project. I am going to watch for future updates. Overall, I think it's cool you can build them yourself and not have to purchase. I am also curious if you will sale your on set.

Grille done, just have to mount it..... it will work with the DRL's.
First couple of the back.... all wiring sealed from moisture, soldered, heat shrunk, and waterproof tape. No mold or mildew is getting inside these !! (and still room for air to circulate inside)

grille from the front.....

and with all the lights off in the building.... matches the DRL light almost perfectly !!

That's really impressive.
Almost wondering if it might even be too bright for grille accent lighting - hard to gauge in pictures.
