Who knew getting a molded piece of plastic was gonna be so damn hard.
If Webasto doesn't get their shit together I wouldn't be surprised to see pichforks and torches in front of their building. Those idiots are going to push alot of us 7/13-14 folks into 22MY because they can't pump out anything. They SERIOUSLY need to get their shit together.

This went from being “Fully Customizable” to just put whatever Ford has available on your bronco
I refuse to change what we ordered to get it sooner. But the funny thing is I can’t change it anyways! It comes with a damn hard top! We don’t have bull bars or tow packages lol

Those should hold a sufficient amount of our tears as we await information on our Bronco's... That's one use.
After all this crap with Ford. I was planning on using it as a changing mat when my kid has a poopy diaper.

Sweet! Didn't know they would start shipping that stuff already. I got some money to spend! Did you order online?
Yep all online. I ordered a bunch of other stuff that haven't arrived yet. Not sure why this one arrived so early.

And don't do it. I spent a couple hundred bucks in the first 5 min of the catalog...

Ford sent out these notes in a bulletin to dealers today.

BRONCO JULY PRODUCTION SCHEDULING MEMO

Below is information to support conversations with your Bronco order holders about the upcoming July Production scheduling.

Background
  • Ford is investing millions of dollars to match production to orders by stockpiling parts and increasing capacity
  • Continued challenges with hard top production will result in significantly more soft tops as % of production for July production; Reminder that mixes will shift by month
  • Additionally, trailer tow and safari bar will be key scheduling constraints in July
  • July production scheduling begins next week, May 20
Scheduling Process Explained

Ford's production process is dynamic and based on a number of real time factors including reservation timestamp, orders available for scheduling, part availability, and the number of Bronco vehicles each dealer receives. While timestamp is a key factor, the scheduling system will continue to go down the list until it finds a clean/eligible order based on that month’s production requirements and part availability. Make sure all your orders are ready for scheduling.

July Production Notes
  • Soft Top Production Opportunity
    • Customers looking to get their Bronco as soon as possible should consider changing their order from hard top to soft top by May 19, ahead of July production scheduling period
    • Based on current mix of soft top production and the number of available orders in order bank, a large number of soft top orders with very late time stamps will schedule for July production
  • Trailer Tow & Safari Bar Scheduling
    • These commodities are in short supply for July production
    • Encourage customers that want to get their Bronco’s earlier to remove these options from their orders
  • Wildtrak & First Edition Scheduling
    • These series will have limited July production due to hard top availability

Probably not the hitch itself, but rather the harness and trailer brake controller plug-and-play interface module?
However, no one is ordering a harness, trailer brake controller, and plug and play interface module, so essentially the poster is correct and it’s a hitch that’s the holdup.

Maybe Ford should try making tops out of formed aluminum in
house and do away with Webasto.

FORD, are you listening? If you prewired the washer/electric connections for the hardtop, I'd have been very happy to let the vehicle come with the standard soft top, and get the hard top later. But I can't even get an answer as to why they won't to this!

No, I meant the trailer tow package includes those items… it certainly includes the harness, and there is also an interface module the trailer brake control plugs directly into…

It’s not clear whether it is only present when optioning the tow package, but the plug-and-play brake control states it requires the tow package, so it was assumed this was the case.
