What strikes me is Ranger year-to-date sales are down 37 percent.
I blame it on pricing, the lack of cab, bend-length, engine and transmission options.
Blame it on production not really ramping up until a few months ago.

No, I suspect not. The Colorado and Canyon are grabbing a big chunk of market share, though I myself couldn't buy a GM product. And the new Tacoma is restaking its claim in that segment, though I'm not enamored with it.
If the Ranger wasn't priced similar to an F-150, and had more options that Toyota and Nissan still offer (longer beds, extended cabs, ect.), Ranger sales would improve.
The Ranger with the 3.2L diesel is a nice truck. I haven't driven a Ranger with the cleaner 2.0L EcoBlue, but I did drive drive the mid-sized Transit Custom van in Europe with the 2.0 and was impressed.

Ok ... you stated YTD sales ... Ranger production didn't kick in until April-ish, hence the drop ... quarterly sales were roughly the same as last year. As for the Toyota and GM twins taking sales, I'm not a truck guy, at all so I don't follow any of it, but I'd drive a Ranger Raptor over anything else out there at the moment if I had to choose.

Bronco is battling the Wrangler in a market where wrangler has literally not had any competition. The Wrangler is iconic, the Bronco isn’t there yet.

Wrangler Q2 2024 sales: 38,897

Three years into production, plenty of inventory, and Bronco still can’t catch Jeep even with better road manners. Can’t blame the Bronco design team because it looks killer and is comparable to the Jeep off-road. Can’t blame the economy because they’re in the same market. I get that the Jeep has a solid front axle but I doubt the Sahara purchasers even know what that means. I don’t get it.
Fine by me. That just means that when the Bronco goes out of production again (which it will do inevitably) our values will go high like the classic 60 Bronco’s.

First time post here. (haven’t even done an intro yet lol)
In process of getting rid of my JL Sahara and getting a Big Bend. I’ve had nothing but issues with my Jeep. Between the clutch defect and Centerforce replacement (at my cost), rear axle leaks, and a pentastar engine problem, I’m done with Mopar. I test drove the Bronco and was sold. Really only 3 manual transmission options (Jeep, Bronco and Tacoma) and Jeep still hasn’t fixed the clutch design in 2024 and the Tacoma was too small for my tribe. For me it was a no brainer. Hoping to see my build by the end of next month

That number is bad for Jeep. 17% YoY decline and also "Sales of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe accounted for 39% (15,124 units) of total Wrangler sales in the second quarter" so more gas Broncos have been sold than pure gas Wranglers.

I don't think Ford cares about beating the Wrangler sales... they seem happy to be cranking out 11K-ish Broncos per month and keeping prices high.
