Yep, Ford has stepped on its crank a time or three, their communications SUCKS.
But having worked in the mass production industry... I have just quit trying to conquer the wall mountain of ignorance and entitlement that this place has birthed.
I see pandemic related shortages effect the simplest shit everyday.
But here comes Johnny entitlement from Jerkwater, USA; who is gonna deliver us from purgatory!
You know, it kind of explains why they don't bother to communicate.

Fuck this , I'm out, I'm gonna go buy a Jeep/Chevy/Toyota/Subaru/Honda/Peterbuilt/ Kenworth/Kubota/John Deere/ Freightliner ....oh wait, ALL their lots are empty too.

Anyone find it strange to see Roof Racks on some of these Broncos?

My understanding was these were added at the Accessory Shop and not on the assembly line.

If these had Bad MICs, why did they then have Roof Racks installed in the Mod Shop only for them to be needed to be removed again before a roof replacement can happen...

To me this definitely points to an (additional) issue other than purely Bad MICs, such as Chip Shortages.

Smart feller you are. Absolutely, this is evidence that the MIC is not the only issue here…. Why keep producing units with bad tops, after all - this looks more like a lineup of “good” vehicles missing parts.

You remind me a lot of my first guitar instructor. He’s an older dude who made it big in the 1980s. The drugs must’ve been a lot stronger back then.. he’s a great dude though. We are still good friends but I’m sad to say, he was a shit instructor.

I was half way opining the other day that Ford could have a chip shortage going on at MAP. At first it was going to be full speed ahead in August, and just before the start date Ford announced a 2 week shutdown(?). Then I heard from a guy who's cousin knows a guy who's wife's goes to the same hair dresser as one of the MAP employees that said a chip shipment just arrived. I opined that the shutdown could be to give MAP time to chip the lot Broncos, and get them shipped before they started adding to the almost full shipping lot. Now, how's that for a conspiracy theory? However, it could be as true as anything else we've heard to date.

BTW, I was kidding about the guy, and his cousin. But I did hear Ford got a load of chips. How true that may be is anyone's guess.
